This thing is great. I can clamp it on my handlebars, my engine guard, on the half open car window, anywhere. It's the do everything GoPro accessory.

It's an easy-to-use light that performs well from about 10-20 feet. I use it for video and typically cover it with a layer of waxpaper for extra diffusion. I have not had any heat or electrical noise issues thus far.

Why have an expensive lens and not protect it? This cover looks great and adds a nice layer of protection to the lens. It does, however, take a bit of effor to get on properly. The instructions are ok, but not the best. Once it's on, it'll stay on snugly and protect the lens from bumps and scratches. I'm not sure about drops, so be careful.

Having recently made the jump from EOS M to Fujifilm X, I was looking for a simple bag/cover that would protect my camera from the elements when going around with a single lens (33mm 1.4). The Matador Base Layer meets the needs well for a few reasons. A lot of the reviews have mentioned that this layer is too small, while that my be true for larger full-frame mirrorless cameras, but not so for the X-T5. Size-wise it does seem as though it was tailor made for most X-Mount cameras, and the marketing materials indicate as much. Feature-wise the expandability of the base layer to handle longer-length lenses will hopefully prove beneficial to me in the future. In the meantime the shortened length is perfect for smaller primes and meets my needs well. The base layer also has a nice secondary pocket at the back that is good for a spare battery/lens cloth and the integrated carabiner clip nice to have for when it's not on the camera itself. The material quality is good and the integrated dry bag gives me an extra sense of comfort when carrying the camera harsher environments. It's especially nice to have a built in dry bag for the cover. All-in all this is a great solution for a minimalist kit to carry around, especially when dealing with harsher weather days.
