This clamp is superb. I have had the RRS BH-55 ballhead for about 8 years. I got it with the screw clamp because that is the only type of clamp I ever used. The screw clamp worked great, but a lever is so much more convenient and quick. When I went to order this clamp, I noticed the underside had a rosette pattern. The top of my ball has a tongue and groove configuration. I was disappointed, believing the designed had changed over time and I was out of luck. After poking around, I discovered RRS makes adapters to match legacy equipment with newer designs. There is an adapter to match a legacy ballhead with a newer clamp (which is what I needed) or a newer ballhead with a legacy clamp. Each adapter is, in essence, the reverse of the other one. After using the lever clamp the last several week, it is a true pleasure to use and operate.

The Olympus MF-2 OM is a little no non-sense adapter that allows you to use the legacy Olympus OM lenses on a Panasonic or Olympus micro four thirds cameras. There are great and cheap legacy OM lenses around, so if you are on a budget and do not mind manually setting the aperture and using your camera in manual focus mode, you will expand the number of available lenses available. In my case my brother gave me 3 lenses, a 50 mm f1.8, a 100mm and a 2x teleconverter. Thanks to this adapter I have a great lens for low light portraits (the 50mm) and a telephoto that works as 100mm and 200mm. For now I just need to find a good OM macro and I'm be OK for a while. This adapter is made to last, has a substantial feel and just works. There are cheaper options on the web and because of the price they may be worth to try, but probably will not be a match the quality to the MF-2.

Canon legacy glass is everywhere and is so very affordable; this adapter allows me to take advantage of the magic of adapted lenses on my E-Mount Sony full-frame camera. The camera in question came from B&Hs used department, in 9 condition and is a huge value for the asking price...!

I bought this adapter to try out some of my father's legacy lenses with my DMC-G85 camera, to see if older lenses with sturdier quality gave better images then newer DSLR/DSLM lenses. The ornge aperture ring with obvious tactile interface (in case I got a lens without manual aperture control) and tripod mount were additional selling points. The fit to the adapter was snug with both my camera and my dad's 1959 Vivitar F-mount f5.6 300 mm telephoto lens; there was not appreciable wiggle or play. Assembly and disassembly were a snap. Mounting on the lens is most preferable, buy I may find that mounting through the adapter may be needed for shorter lenses. As shown in the paired images. The image quality is almost as good with the legacy lends (that appeared to be a bit brighter under full-light conditions) as with the digital lens (which gets help from focus assist even in manual mode), so I believe the mount is not hurting image quality at all. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have a number of legacy lenses which I have used with adapters on different cameras. I find the quality of the adapter to be very important. This Leica M to L is probably the best and most finely manufactured of all the ones I have tried. Consistent with the quality of the Leica build. Works perfectly.

The adapter fits perfectly. A great way to get extra mileage out of legacy equipment. Be sure to set the function on the EOSM menu to allow the camera to release the shutter w/o lens.

This adapter does exactly what I need it to do--it allows me to use my legacy Zuiko lenses with my new digital Olympus OM-D. I've tried it with a 28mm f2.8, 55mm f1.2, and my new favorite, the 135mm f3.5. With the OM-D's micro four-thirds sensor, this lens takes superb telephoto shots, perfect for nature photography.
