Originally I had a Olympus 50mm 2.0f 4/3 macro adapted to a Olympus EPL-1 camera. The pictures it took were fantastic (this is also echoed by reviewers), but the auto focus was so bloody slow that it was frustrating to use. Initally I figured that I'd keep using manual focus on the olympus lens since everyone online says macro work requires a lot of manual focusing. But boy was it frustrating; I eventually stopped using the Olympus lens despite the awesome pictures I got from it. I saw this lens, but the price turned me off completely. I figured that since it was branded a Leica lens, that it would always be expensive. Then the regular price dropped, I'm assuming courtesy of panasonic. I took a chance and bought it, being totally frustrated with such useless autofocus. It was TOTALLY worth the price. Pictures look just as good as the Olympus, focus speed was MUCH better, and although the F stop was higher on this lens, for macro work, having more depth of field is usually a asset rather than a hindrance anyway. I gave my girlfriend the Olympus, but after she tried out this lens, she is now seriously considering it as well. The only downside to this lens that I can find is that if you shake it, you can hear 2 of the lenses moving around. I understand this happens with lens based stabilized lenses, but I still can't help but wonder if this lens is more prone than most to shattering if dropped. The plastic body certainly feels solid. on a personal note: I don't believe the Leica hype one bit - In this case the Leica branding means no software correction is done with the lens to make the picture you see, but the trade-offs of software correction in the camera are so minimal as to be a non-issue in my opinion unless you are VERY picky about your picture quality.

I use this with my Voigtlander 15mm lens on a Leica film camera and a Leica digital camera. It is an essential tool if you want to see what you are taking pictures of with this equipment. The viewfinder itself is very well built, made of brass with a black finish. It looks good. It presents a very clear frame that is easy to see for those of us who wear glasses. Just be careful not to loose it. I was using the 28mm version of this when It came out of the hot shoe. After retracing my steps for several blocks I found it on the pavement, somewhat scraped, but otherwise fine. (now it looks like I've been in a war or two!)

I received this digital monoculture sample for free. I was able to use it on several occasions. The pictures and video recording is incredibly good. The size fits perfectly in my palm and in my pocket. Recommend for bird watchers and for that quick zoom shot.

The 16-70 mm Zoom focal length covers about 98 percent of the pictures I take which was why I wanted this lens for my Sony Alpha 6000 to replace the 18-55 mm kit lens. My images are mostly family pictures along with occasional scenics from vacation and day trips. The extra few mm on both ends are much more valuable than many realize. Better scenic or tight spaces shots on the wide end and portrait options on the long end. The lens is expensive so I was looking for a good used sample. Found a couple of listings on the B&H site along with an open box sample. When I called to make a selection, they apparently all had been sold. My sales person was very helpful and found another option which fit my budget. Delivery was prompt and the product arrived in perfect condition right on schedule; new and in the manufacturer's original packaging. Initial testing confirmed the lens worked well. In the past few weeks it has been put to work and I am very pleased with the results. It is a great lens for my shooting needs.

I am really impressed with this adapter. I had checked some sample footage on YouTube and some reviews here on BH and went on and gave it a try. I was only to use it occasionally on my Sony a6000 but I finally ended up leaving it on most of the time. The sharpness and build quality are great. I used it mostly for video and figured I should test it taking pictures and the pictures are also sharp. I am also planning on using this adapter on my B cam on some corporate shoots.
