Been bird watching with 10x32 in the Western US for many years. Felt the need for extra light gathering and these Leica fit the bill. The equivalent Zeiss were lighter but felt flimsy (more plastic), the Swarovski seemed very close in comparison and were simply more expensive. They do just fit my eyes, I have to fold them almost together for my optimal viewing (never had this issue before). These are all top end choices, but the Leica won out for me and despite the increase in weight it has been worth the enhanced views during this spring's migrations. 5 |

Maybe not up there with Leica, but certainly on a par with Heliopan, which for some reason is way over-priced in the US. Hoya MC is a better deal, but not available in lots of sizes, such as 43mm 5 |
