I tried a 10 core with base everything else and it was a lemon. Very fast processing, but not stable at all. Apple let me trade that in for a top of the line i9. I thought 6 cores would work... Nope - Throttled before and after the update to around 2.2-2.5. This is an incredible machine. I just really hate Apples crazy price gouging when it comes to storage upgrades. I got 2 SanDisk Extreme SSDs here for $530 each so I have 1TB at 3000 mb/s and 4TB 550 mb/s... for a quarter of the price Apple charges. 5 |
