My wife drives a 250 Lexus and I had tried many different mounts for her car. With our hot summers they always fell off very quickly. Ones that mounted in air vents or CD slots wouldn't work. I had avoided the Peak Design models because they were so expensive. Finally in frustration I bit the bullet and purchased the mount and the phone case. I didn't want to deal with c-stands because I want all my gear to fit into a Lexus ES350 trunk, this stand seemed perfect.
