I needed a heavy-duty mic stand for a podcasting setup. the K&M 252 is a homerun for this use. It's heavy enough to support an SM7B and with the telescoping boom ar,m it's low profile enough to use for video shoots without being an eye sore. The price (Although more than most stands) is worth every penny. If you're looking not to have to buy another stand for a while this is a great option. 5 |

Microphone stands are workhorses that simply must have solid construction or a gig can be destroyed if one fails. The 252 is compact (a necessity for a traveling musician) and sturdy. I've tried stands by other companies and none are anywhere as good as this one is. 5 |

The K&M 252 has proven to be my favorite microphone stand. I ended up buying six of them. I work strictly mobile, and never know exactly what situations I will encounter. The 252 has 3 sections in the base and two in the boom. I can place a mic near the floor, or high enough above a seated musician for a spot mic. I can record a piano on half-stick without removing the boom, or high and low over the strings. The stand is surprisingly heavy, which lends great stability when the boom is extended. 5 |
