Electrical power spikes occur for many reasons and your sensitive electronics won't survive unless you have a quality surge suppressor. Most products sold as surge supressors only provide a low level of protection and are little more than power bars. The Isobar offers a high level of protection and, unlike most other surge suppressors, will isolate each outlet from surges caused by other appliances plugged into it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with this new plugable. It makes my Macbook Air 2020 really more versatile and useful. I plugged in the HDMI cable to my monitor and it worked immediately after adjusting a few settings on the mac. I love that I can plug theUSB-C power cord right into the port on the hub and still have available an additional thunderbolt port on the mac. The quality of the hub being stainless steel and heavy duty power cord makes this hub feel like it will last a long time. If you have the new M-1 Macbook Air, this is the hub for you. 5 |
