Fantastic Blu-ray!

This is 16x blu-ray drive from LG compatible with M-DISC disk. This is OEM version. So, it is barebone drive. No software included but it is plug-n-play with Windows 10. This drive is pretty quiet during operation.

Equipment: an external LG Blu-Ray/M-Disc burner (WH16NS40) on a Mac. After more than a hundred discs, I have yet to see a single bad one. I burn at the slowest possible speed supported by the hardware, since I prefer long-term reliability (a habit since my first CD burner 25 years ago—some of my first CD-ROMs are still readable today), and I set my software to verify the burn by default. Verdict: no error yet.

We bought this Blu-ray player when our old LG player died. I got this model because it has the older RCA jacks output to hook up the sound to our older Dolby stereo system. It's a great Blu-ray with terrific upscaling.

So far theVerbatim M-Discs have burned without a problem on my two LG Blu-Ray burners. They playback without problems on my Sony Blu-Ray player.

I bought this Blu Ray a week and a half ago to pair with a newly purchased 65 in LG GX Television and the sound quality on my movies and picture is the best ever! Way to go Sony!!!!!

I have had no issues with this device so far! However if i were to have issues i know from experience that LG customer support is way ABOVE par! All the electronics i own besides my phone are LG (i.e. 2 TV's , Blu-Ray Player, Blu-Ray Burner, Sound System) I always recommend them to my friends and family!

I was in purgatory with my old LG blurry player/writer from 2015. On my iMac it would work to read DVDs 70% of the time and Blurays about 25% of the time. Towards the end of its life, it would start up a Blu-rays disc (after I entered my Bluray reader software) and bam! It would stop working - or worse - turn my entire computer off! THIS player is sublime because it works with no hiccups EVERY TIME. Because I don't purchase movies often, I ONLY buy Blu-ray's when I want to have my own copy of a film - it's such amazing quality! I am finally enjoying these Blu-ray's again! Thank you, OWC!!

I wanted to add an extra DVD and add Blu-ray capability to my HP Pavilion Elite desktop computer.� The LG was priced well and I have several other LG products at home and like them a great deal.� Installation was far easier then expected.� Removing side and front covers was the matter of one thump screw and the case was open.� Remove the disposable covering plate on the secondary DVD space and the LG simply slid into the slot.� HP uses a pin system that secures the DVD so I didn't even need the included screws.� The provided extensions for power and SATA data cable hooked up easily and quickly.� Closed up the case, installed the included Cyberlink software and I was watching a Blu-ray disk within seconds. The drive has been in heavy use now for about a week and could not be happier.� The B&H price was easily the best of all the stores I checked and all in all a great buy.

We had an old blu-ray player that no longer could play the latest Blu-Ray discs or even new DVDs. This player does it all very well. We have other pay-for-view providers that look better after installing this player. We also find that it is faster when reacting to remote button pushes. There is little to no lag in sending/receiving commands. Our system has a seven channel surround system and the sound from this player is wonderful. It also make a big difference when playing CDs when we use it for a music player. This player is not inexpensive, but at this point has been worth every cent we spent on it. The people at B&H also got it to us with standard shipping in three days. If you are looking to purchase a new Blu-Ray player, this would be the one to purchase.
