But it's fingerprint oil, dirt, and dust resistant. And it's strong. My lens hood isn't deployed all the time, and I'd rather replace a filter than damage my L lens. For non-L it's a tougher call, I guess, but pricey glass warrants pricey protection that doesn't materially adversely affect image quality. 5 |
