Lg G3 Oled Calibration Settings

After upgrading from the LG C1 to the G3 OLED, I found the improvements to be less significant than anticipated. The C1 was already excellent in terms of display quality, and while the G3 offers enhanced lighting, the differences are subtle and not easily noticeable. One clear advantage of the G3 is its navigation, which is much smoother and user-friendly than its predecessor. However, when comparing the remote control with Samsung's offerings, the G3's remote falls short in both functionality and ergonomic design. Overall, while the G3 is a great TV, it doesn't represent a major leap over the C1.

I replaced my LG OLED CX with this G3. The picture was already amazing, but the increased brightness on the G3 with MLA is outstanding.

I bought this TV to replace my LG OLED that was far out of warranty & doing the whole random reboot loop shenanigans about a month ago. So far, I'm quite happy for several reasons: Integrated Google TV. Google TV is so much easier to use than LG or Samsung's OS because I'm already in the Google ecosystem and now I don't need to rely on a dongle to get the Google TV experience. Works seamlessly with the PS5. If you've got a PS5, Sony's picture settings are pretty much perfect for gaming (as you'd expect). I diddled around with the picture settings only to reset them as the default settings are all you need. Good value. It's a good balance between an expensive OLED and one of those cheap 4k TVs. I thought "downgrading" would bother me, but so far, I'm quite happy with the picture quality. It also has FOUR HDMI ports, so unlike with my LG, I don't need to be plugging and unplugging hardware I want to use. That might seem like a trivial problem, but it's the little things in life. I can't speak to the sound quality as I have a Sonos soundbar. But, if you have a soundbar and are wondering if this TV will play nice with it, the answer is yes.

This is the third LG OLED I’ve purchased, and I’m not looking back. If you loved the pioneer plasma, lg has matched and surpassed it in many ways.

I have had my 65" OLED G3 TV for one month. The picture is beautiful, bright, and crisp. The adjustment controls aren't great to get to, but there are so many options that it's understandable that there are multiple menus which take some practice to navigate.

This is my first OLED TV replacing my 9 year old Panasonic TC-P65VT60 plasma, arguably the finest plasma TV ever produced. The Panny was mighty in its day with inky blacks and impressively nuanced imagery. As fine as it was, this LG G3 83 inch beast is a huge leap in viewing pleasure far beyond its massive size. At $1800 off MSRP through B&H and tax deleted by PayBoo, it was a steal. I am using the table stand which for stability purposes has the necessary backward lean which is minimally annoying. However, I prefer that to the risk otherwise of 90+ pounds of glass and electronics landing on my kids or grandkids should the earth move violently. I watched a G4 vs G3 demo on YouTube and although the G4 did show better HDR imaging, the differences are too subtle to matter as I will never have a G4 in the same room as the G3. As far as the knocks on the audio of this TV, I can't imagine viewing this TV without a dedicated high quality audio system. I have not listened to the on-board audio but when space is an issue, and this TV has used up all you have, I must believe it would be worth it. Enjoy!
