[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The first word that comes to mind when I cracked open the new JBL Clip 5 from Harman. How can all that sound come from such a small package?!? Let me explain... The new and revised Clip 5 offering from JBL offers many upgrades from previous models including better battery life, connectivity, and a larger/durable 'clip' (carabiner) opening to accommodate more areas in which to use this roughly 6x4x2 inch speaker! The sound is potent with punchy bass emitting from a frequency range of 95hz-20Khz. The sound is nothing short of astounding but also lives up the the JBL reputation of bigger isn't always better. The small palm-of-your-hand sized frame (which is dust and WATER proof) is rugged and can take abuse from most any outdoor activity in which it is used. Battery life is up to 12hrs with an additional 3hrs of playtime when you turn Playtime Boost (in the JBL Portable App) to the off setting... all this with just a minimal 3 hour charge time from a supplied USB-A to USB-C connecting cable. The cable is short but does the trick and you must supply a wall USB-A compatible charging block yourself. The speaker is able to be connected to other JBL Portable devices thru AuraCast and the JBL app for a complete party on the go.. whether you're fishing, swimming, beaching, off-roading, partying, or just relaxing.. it just works! I did have trouble when first trying to connect the speaker to the JBL Portable App but soon discovered a quick update of the App fixed all connectivity issues. The Clip 5 does come in a variety of colors but whatever the color... this thing just ROCKS! The main use I have for the speaker is in my shower. My mornings are started with a bang from this potent little monster! Well worth every penny just as other JBL speakers I have in my collection. The JBL/Harman name is simply synonymous with quality sound and craftsmanship!

Wonderful sound coming out of this little speaker. Highly recommended especially with the JBL portable app where you can adjust the bass levels.

This is a fantastic little portable speaker. The sound is plenty loud, and quite excellent for such a small speaker. The accompanying app gives you a lot of ways to optimize your listening experience. And last but not least, it is really stylish. I bought the purple one, and it is very vivid. I love it! Battery life seems decent enough at 7 hours. The ability to pair 2 of these together for stereo sound prompted me to buy another. Don’t hesitate - you won’t regret buying one of these little guys!

The battery lasts a very long time and the sound is the best I have ever heard from a portable speaker. It is indeed waterproof, we accidentally left it outside and it got rained on but it didn’t affect it at all.

The sounds quality is amazing for such a small speaker. It is easy to control using the app or not using the app. The app just gives you a place to see music form multiple apps. You can connect to multiple devices and switch them as needed. It is water resistant as long as you keep the charging port closed when not charging. You can use the device when it is charging.

I absolutely love everything about it! For a portable speaker, it sounds amazing. I really like that you can easily adjust everything, and even control it through the app! The red bar meter on the left is a great feature that shows you the bass, treble, volume, and even the charge level. Highly recommended for travel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boombox 3 is really amazing ! First it truly has that full bodied sound that a really much larger speaker has. Second I used the JBL portable app and customized the sound through equalization and it sounds incredible, the app is a very good tool to use with this speaker. Thirdly this speaker although heavy is easy to carry around with the sturdy handle provided. We used it at the pool instead of turning on our main pool bar speaker system which is JBL also. It is very portable and very loud if you turn it up but it still sounds awesome at lower volumes and provides that full punchy sound. It is waterproof and that means were taking it to the beach baby! By far this is my new best bluetooth speaker that I will use and enjoy for a very long time. The battery is strong and has held a charge for I know at least 6 hours of play. JBL did it again and hit this one out of the park excellent quality bluetooth speaker that I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a world where things are getting smaller, like your phones, the money in your wallet, and your burger, JBL introduces a big portable speaker with an even bigger sound. Here is what I love about this speaker. The packaging on this product is second to none. It is enclosed in a soft like bag and surrounded by the most durable egg carton cardboard I have ever seen. I wouldn't worry about this item ever being damaged in shipping. Straight out of the box, I loved the unique throwback design. An overall black design, trimmed in antique gold, will match any area in your home. And when you go portable, people will wonder where you got this retro looking item. I immediately downloaded the JBL One app to my phone, and had no problem connecting it to the Bluetooth on my phone, or even to the Wifi in my home. And within minutes, I was using the speaker in place of my Amazon Alexa. I cranked it up so loud, my wife complained, but she was surprised by the sound from 3 rooms away. And the app, lets me dial in the song and sound I like. From country to pop and classical to jazz, every note is clear and the bass is thumping. One drawback is the heft of this item. It is a beast, and toting it for a long periods of time will wear you out. Also, the handle is not that comfortable. It is squared off and not very well padded. Regardless of just those two drawbacks, this speaker is built like an American made car from the 1950s, made to last and to be treasured for years to come. Ideally, I think this speaker is meant for home use. It's gonna replace any other portable wireless speaker you own. Mine is set in the bedroom, plugged in, and always on.

This is my 3rd Bose Bluetooth speaker, and each one is better than the last. With the app it pairs seamlessly with my sound link mini and micro for some amazing audio. Well balanced sound between highs, mids and lows. Ultra portable and environmentally protected. The portable possibilities are endless. Highly recommended!
