I saw some reviews here about the weak magnet, and would like to offer a different perspective. I was able to mount my volta + gopro 11 magnetically on a lamppost by positioning the magnetic portion of the clip towards the top. The magnet had weaker attraction with alloyed metals.. but i think that applies to any magnet too. Clip was very strong. I clipped it to my car door handle and drove slowly for some cool footage (20kph) 5 |

This is a fantastic little release that functions exactly as the manufacturer claims. In fact it seems to have a range that would easily exceed 100'. I have even used it to focus and fire the camera from another room with at least two walls between myself and the camera.The only flaw I see is in build quality. The case for the transmitter is a little weak for my liking. The battery cover door has a minimal amount of latch catch to it and it comes open easily. Not a huge issue as long as you remain aware of it.Overall I would fully recommend the product as it functions flawlessly and is a bargain at the price.
