I enjoy doing Light Painting with my camera tethered to Capture One. It is very time-consuming and there is no way that my camera's battery could hold up through the duration of a shoot, which can sometimes last several hours. This device solves that problem easily. The only problem I had at the outset was that since I shoot with a Canon R5, it wasn't immediately apparent how to fix the battery-shaped end into the compartment and then shut the compartment door. I had to call and get help from the fantastic B&H customer service to enlighten me that there is a little, hidden notch on the inside of the R5's battery compartment that opens to allow the cord to come through so I could shut the door. Otherwise, the R5 won't work at all. A special thank you B&H service!! :-) It was a five-minute call and the problem was solved. Anyway, as I wrote, it works just as advertised and is a great addition to my kit! 5 |

After many years of service, my Canon RC-1 battery door no longer stays shut. I like the ability to select immediate or 2 second delay shutter, the larger battery and an improved battery compartment. Looking forward to many years of service. I would recommend this product. 5 |
