I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. I had debated whether to go for the refurbished instead of new but decided it was worth it to save almost $300. The fact it was Nikon Refurbished and therefore has a Nikon Warranty means the extra warranty protection from my credit card should also apply. Well I got my camera and except for the fact that it wasn't in the pretty gold box, it looks jut like new - My first picture was shutter activation #1! I am very happy about my purchase and am having fun learning about all of the new features compared to my old D90. I took a group picture at my Rotary Club meeting using the Nikon SnapBridge and was even able to adjust the exposure to compensate for backlighting.

I have had a number of Furman power conditioners in the past 30 years. The pl has always been my favorite. I have had some cheaper power conditioners also and they are not conditioners whatsoever. All they are.. are exaggerated power strips.. and when you pick them up you will see the weigh less than a pound.. because most of the electronics are missing in the chassis. Not so with the Furman units. Furman units are very heavy because they have actual electronics in them like filters and other things that are going to be making sure the power is conditioned correctly. They shut down upon overload and the filter make sure there is no buzz or hum in the line. You cannot go wrong with a PL plus and B&H has the lowest price in the country!!

Yes, power conditioners are boring. If you only have a laptop and an audio interface, you may even feel they are unnecessary. However, once you get more gear, you definitely need clean power to supply it all. If you have operated without one, and then add one in, it can clean up things that you did not fully notice before. I already use one of these, but I had to get another for a second gear set I'm building.

We've been buying Furman power conditioners for years and really like them. The voltmeter is really handy, and this unit has helped us with the dirty power issues we have in our building.
