Lg Soundbar With Wireless Subwoofer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression is how great the LG SG10TY sounds compared to the overall size. While unpacking, I was very skeptical regarding how light and slender this soundbar is. Having a 5.1 home theater system already, I had been anticipating the idea of reducing my system to “just” a soundbar and subwoofer. Until I was unboxing it and assumed it would not produce a decent sound. Surprisingly, the sound from this device projected very well into the room. Not only that, but it did so while also maintaining very good sound quality. Another great thing about this soundbar is how extremely thin and wall mountable it is. As we have a small room living room, I am again looking forward to minimizing my theater system. I can eliminate all my other wired speakers, bulky receiver, and floor shelves. While gaining a lot more room space. I will be trading a subwoofer for another subwoofer, but this LG subwoofer is about half the size as my current one. Small enough I can simply install a little shelf for it on the wall. The hook up process could not be any easier. Simply plug power in to the soundbar and WIRELESS subwoofer (separately) then plug in the HDMI cord and away we go. I have not mounted my soundbar yet, it seems a possibly a little over engineered, but at least I know once it is up, it will be securely mounted.

I wanted a soundbar for my 43 in. LG HDR and this was perfect. I installed with a mount that attached to my wall mounted TV and connected it to my TV with the optical connection. The sound is superb, the surround surprising for no actual rear speakers, and the subwoofer does woof like a subwoofer should. I really like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with this soundbar. I upgraded my 10 year old soundbar that was smaller than this. It just wasn’t filling my living room with the riveting sounds I prefer when watching action movies. It did have a subwoofer, but adjusting the settings on that was nowhere near as intuitive as this new LG soundbar. With this new LG soundbar I can easily flip between AI Sound, Clear Voice, Bass, Cinema, Sports, and other pre-programmed themes. Set up was a breeze. I plugged in the optical cord, powered up the subwoofer and then plugged in the soundbar. Everything paired without me having to do anything. It immediately worked with my Google Chromecast remote. Setting up the AI sound was a bit more difficult. My living room just doesn’t seem to be set up to utilize this feature. I previously kept my subwoofer behind my couch for the oomph, but LG wouldn’t pair the AI Sound until I placed it next to the soundbar, up on my mantle. This means I either need to decide to keep it up on my mantle next to the soundbar or move it to another location in my living room and not use the AI Sound feature. That being said, I love this soundbar. I immediately put on Saving Private Ryan to see what kind of sound this thing could put out. Wow. My wife made me turn it down, but I felt like I was part of the action. I switched to John Wick and felt the same thing. It was like being in a movie theater where you can feel the action. I linked it to my Google account so I can tell Google to play music, raise/lower the volume, and everything else you use a regular Google speaker for. The only con is that it doesn’t come with a stand. I currently have it leaning against my previous soundbar to stay upright. I wish I had been aware of this before purchasing. I will eventually be mounting this soundbar so that will not be as big of a deal. Overall, I would give this soundbar a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We just set up our new Polk Signa S4 soundbar hooked up to our Samsung TV. The wireless subwoofer is easy to use. The quality of the sound is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to get the LG Soundbar S80TR and it was a game changer for the living room and for homeschooling! We have our tv mounted on a rolling tv rack so that we can move it around as needed. Now, with wireless rear speakers I can now move our tv so we can use it for homeschool course, educational movies etc. and actually be able to clearly hear everything! Before it was just the stutter and quietness of the tv or the sheer bizarre amount of wires. The AI collaboration is a godsend because no matter what room we are in, it automatically adjusts to it. It ensures the best sound, the best quality regardless of the dimensions/size of the room. Definitely made for a fun rainy day activity of karaoke!! Kids felt like they were in a club rather than at home! We could literally just pick up the wireless speakers and have a day outside if we wanted to. We tried it on the front porch, just to test the speakers honestly. It was clear, concise and proved how versatile they were. Granted they aren’t outdoor speakers but it proved the AI quality for us. The LG Soundbar S80TR is sturdy and definitely well made ‘most definitely a great purchase for any living room or home theatre. It would make SUPERB and easy upgrade!
