I've played my Les Paul thru it, my classical/electric thru it, sang thru it & listened to YouTube thru it. This EON is incredible. The 8" woofers put out ear-piercing 300 watts of sound. Plenty for any backyard party or indoor party. The settings include reverb for balancing any tone needed. Even though you can play your electric axe thru it, the EON is not designed for this. My Les Paul sounded too bright, even after adjusting the EQ settings. You can get by if you need a quick plug-in to work on a song without plugging into another amp. Each channel has its own settings. The EON is very portable & snaps together nicely in a suitcase-style fashion, making it easy to carry, set up & take down. The headphone input is nice & puts out great sound, just like the speakers. I keep the mixer & speakers apart in the bedroom for solitude practicing & listening to YouTube. Then, I just snap it all together & go. When I discovered this had Bluetooth, I was sold right there! You can play along with any song thru your mobile device. The Bluetooth does not interfere with my XViVe U2 wireless transmitter & receiver. Vocally, the sounds are awsum, too. The accompanying AKG vocal mic works brilliantly! The speakers have a 38mm pole socket for mounting onto speaker poles for maximum outreach. They're also light enough to sit on any cabinet or table. The 2 speaker cables, wall cable, AKG mic & mic cord all fit in a nice, stow-away compartment behind the mixer. Bottom line: I recommend this for any singer-songwriter, DJ, or party host. The price is worth it with the Bluetooth capability. 5 |

Like Paul K said, there are many of these mics still in use after decades of use & abuse. I used the same one for over 15 years of run and gun in the rain, snow, & humidity. A reporter left mine in the grass while covering a barn fire and it was run over by a county fire truck. We pulled it out of the dirt and it broke the mic flag, but the mic itself didn't even flinch. We had 9 photogs at one point and they did misplace a few, but I only remember having to replace 1 mic that was damaged in the line of duty. You will need a foam windscreen if you're outdoors in anything more than a light breeze, but that's true of most any mic out there. Yes, there are better sounding mics out there, but this model is quite passable for local TV news gathering. But I really can't think of any mic as durable as the 635A. 5 |

I got the last one in stock (time to reorder, B&H!) and I can see why... the Mel9 pedal adds a completely new vibe to any electric guitar setup. It's very dynamic and responsive, only slightly losing track with very soft notes. Send the dry out to one amp, and the effect out to another (or the sound board) and your sound palette gets very big very quickly. Like everyone else probably did, I immediately dialed in the flute sound and learned Strawberry Fields Forever, but it doesn't stop there. Strings, cello, orchestra and choir sounds are super-fun and very authentic - even down to the warbly tape sound. One thing I'm considering is putting an EQ pedal on Mel9 as its sounds can be a little harsh in the midrange. Dial that back, add some reverb, set the attack and decay at about 1 o'clock, and you have a string pad like keyboard players have always enjoyed - at a fraction of the cost of MIDI guitar synth. Play around with pickup settings too, as the effect sound definitely responds differently to neck vs. bridge pickups. Playing speed is also a factor... most of the sounds take a little time to bloom, so staccato, rapid picking probably won't let the sounds fully develop. But for adding a huge layer and vintage texture to your sound, the Mel9 is where it's at. I can't wait to try it on bass guitar too. This one will be used a lot. 5 |

Love it so far. Like the other reviewer, I bought it as a guitar amp since it was priced so competitively against a good amp. It has more functionality with the mixer over a traditional amp. with 800Watts, it has the bass needed to push a drum kit and bass player. The dishes in my china cabinet were literally hopping. I will return to revise the update with more time. 5 |
