Lighting Setup For Product Photography

Replaced a homemade lighting setup for small product photography. Debated between strobes and continuous lighting - very happy with these lights. Switches make it easy to control light output. Included stands are sturdy and easy to adjust. Quality lights at an affordable price.

These lights are a great product, especially for the price. They are a great addition to our stage lighting setup and were easy to install and incorporate into our existing system.

As a photographer who is looking to upgrade, I really wanted to find the perfect lighting setup, for a good cost. I was looking for something that was durable, and could with stand hours of use without becoming hot, or the lights flickering. This product is everything I was looking for! It's portable, and gives a clean, soft light that doesn't give off a weird tint like some of the cheaper models do. I photograph weddings and portraits, so I really enjoy the dimming control. It allows me to cater to all my clients without buying additional equipment. 5+ stars, a great product for a great value!!

I love LED Daylight lights for product and figure (Toy) photography.   One of the greatest challenges that I face is having to use multiple light sources for one shot.  My setup is typically a 3-light setup of varying degrees of intensity.   This means 3 separate light stands, a power strip and all of the setup included which can take almost 20 minutes so that’s 40 minutes for setup and breakdown (too long).   The Genaray SSL-836 cut my setup/breakdown time in half!  This light is the only light I used to get the job done.  The 36” form factor provides amazing contour lighting which replaces my need for a typical left/right lighting setup.   The power output if perfect and can be adjusted in from 1-100% with the touch of the backlit touch panel.   I was able to custom white balance using this light and the daylight accuracy is a perfect as I could want.   The barn doors provide an extra layer of control and allow me to use the light to work my subjects and not work my subjects based on the light.    I was also thoroughly impressed with the carry case as everything is packed securely.   It also can be re-packed just as easily for storage and/or transport.   The setup time is simple with great range of motion thanks to the Lollipop Mount.   I can’t wait to use this in a vertical orientation for portraits and a more dramatic lighting effect for video interviews.    This is a phenomenal and extremely versatile light.  I’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to use cases, but this is now an essential part of my workflow and I’m not taking it off of the stand unless I need to bring it on-location!  [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Purchased product for studio video setup and was able to put everything together first time without challenge. The lighting produced was even and produced good results. Only frustration was trying to assemble the soft boxes as the fiberglass rods took some strength to bend and fit into place. Also, having to store the bulbs seperately each time is going to get old but still, overall the package was worthwhile.

I don't have any experience with LED lighting. I did a quick setup and test after receiving this gear and am very impressed.� I think this will take some of my work beyond the old lighting and for sure quicker, easier, and better! I am shooting product for a small business and looking forward to the next shoot. I will likely shoot some of the online shots I have done as I see possibility to improve them.� Nice product and I do recommend them.
