Lightning Cable Adapter Mophie

I have a Mophie power bank designed for my i-Phone 8+ (has a built in lightning cable) and I saw this similar power bank with the USB-C connector built in. It’s perfect for my Note 10+ and the 10500mah gives me multiple charges. Love the two USB inputs to charge my iPad and other devices. Well-designed, portable, functional and with the Mophie quality.

This adapter transforms micro your micro USB cable into a much sturdier than Apple's original Lightning cable. It snaps on tightly, charges and transfers data well, works for both iPhone and iPad.

This is an adapter, NOT a cable. That said, as an adapter it does it's job well. I have used it to plug my iPhone (Lightning) into my PC (both USB-C and USB-A) to transfer files and it worked without a hitch. Useful as an adapter, but not long enough to be called a cable by any means.

The lightning cables have been around for years now so there isn't really anything new or innovative that makes this product stand out. But it is well made and feels durable. It's a great length and it works as you would expect it to. One thing that does impress me is that the plastic end with the lightning adapter is identical to the end of an official Apple cable. I've had a few third party lightning cables over the years and every one of them had a longer and usually fatter lightning adapter end. Sometimes an Apple cable would fit through the hole in a case to charge my phone but a third party cable wouldn't. In this case, Belkin's cable is just as capable as an original lightning cable. This is the first time I can remember thinking that anyone has made a cable as good as the one provided with the iPhone.

I wanted the kids to be able to watch YouTube videos on a TV, this adapter made it happen. It was easy to connect my iPad to the television. Just insert the lightning plug into the iPad (or iPhone), connect to the TV via an HDMI cable and connect a lightning charging cable to the adapter and watch. Whatever is on the iPad shows up on the TV. The kids use the iPad as a controller and both can watch full size videos.

I got this to replace a Mophie one I had. I have use the older version of this adapter from Belkin, and this one looks the same, but provides more power. Unlike the Mophie, it does not get very hot, and it seems to have a wider range of USB-PD compatibility. It can even charge small laptops without any trouble.
