This adapter transforms micro your micro USB cable into a much sturdier than Apple's original Lightning cable. It snaps on tightly, charges and transfers data well, works for both iPhone and iPad.

This is an adapter, NOT a cable. That said, as an adapter it does it's job well. I have used it to plug my iPhone (Lightning) into my PC (both USB-C and USB-A) to transfer files and it worked without a hitch. Useful as an adapter, but not long enough to be called a cable by any means.

The lightning cables have been around for years now so there isn't really anything new or innovative that makes this product stand out. But it is well made and feels durable. It's a great length and it works as you would expect it to. One thing that does impress me is that the plastic end with the lightning adapter is identical to the end of an official Apple cable. I've had a few third party lightning cables over the years and every one of them had a longer and usually fatter lightning adapter end. Sometimes an Apple cable would fit through the hole in a case to charge my phone but a third party cable wouldn't. In this case, Belkin's cable is just as capable as an original lightning cable. This is the first time I can remember thinking that anyone has made a cable as good as the one provided with the iPhone.

I wanted the kids to be able to watch YouTube videos on a TV, this adapter made it happen. It was easy to connect my iPad to the television. Just insert the lightning plug into the iPad (or iPhone), connect to the TV via an HDMI cable and connect a lightning charging cable to the adapter and watch. Whatever is on the iPad shows up on the TV. The kids use the iPad as a controller and both can watch full size videos.

If you want to use a third party mic with a Hero 9, you need the Media Mod for Hero 9. This adapter does not work with the Hero 9 as of this moment, unless you have the Media Mod, which means that you don't need to buy this, because the Media Mod already has a 3.5mm port for your external microphones. I received a message from GoPro support by email, where they clearly said that this adapter requires the media mod. Which is contradicting to the purpose of the media mod. If you have the media mod, you don't need this adapter.

Having owned a LOT of media players over the years, the latest was a Minix 4K player. It was great until the Shield arrived. The Shield is lightning fast at everything. The game streaming is the added bonus. Add Kodi to the mix and anything 4K plays on this device. I've only had it about a week or so but I think this will be the best media center for a LONG time. I'm yet to try other features but what I have tried is amazing. Even the gaming is great. If you need a media player that is lightning fast then this is the one you need. It is super small (the 16gb model) I went for the 16gb model (as you can add external storage if needed, all my data is on a Synology NAS)

I'm somewhat in awe that a lightning fast SSD can fit in such a small enclosure. All my daily media management uses this drive, and it makes life relatively effortless.
