Lightning Cable Intermittent

I bought this cable to connect my Epson P600 directly to my computer because I was getting intermittent connection issues with WiFi (probably my router) and wasting too much ink and paper. It was rare to go more than 3 or 4 prints before experiencing the error and having to cancel the print and reprint. I've only had this for a couple of weeks now but have not had a single connection issue which is already a huge improvement.

I bought this cable because I was having an intermittent problem with my M1 MacBook Air freezing, showing pink screen, then resetting when connected to an external monitor. I read somewhere that using a DisplayPort cable rather than the HDMI one that I was using would help (perhaps the HDMI cable was causing the problem?). Anyway, the DisplayPort cable works fine and the Freeze/Reset problem has not recurred - so far.

Have installed 2 of these and both work great. One was to replace an older cable with an intermittent fault. Didn't realize this cable was directional until I read the other reviews. Must have installed the first one correctly by accident. Wonder if the one star reviews were aware it's directional?

Others may have noted this. There is now an SC-15 (USB-C to Lightning) cable in the box.

This has resulted in faster speeds. However, intermittent outages are more frequent.
