Lightning Cable Port Repair

After having to repair 3 separate cameras for loose USB ports due to the cable stress on the port, I bought these. Works just as described! I have them on 7 cameras that our studio uses daily. It's a little pricey if you consider what it is, but in the long run, it's much cheaper than the $ that Canon just charged me to fix the port.

I use this to connect anything with a standard headphone cable to my iPhone Lightning port (older selfie stick, older Square reader, earbuds and headphones).

This does the job and does it well. It's helpful that it connects via lightning port and USB, I can go back and forth between my computers with ease.

I damaged the USB port on my E-30 and the repair cost was quite expensive so i decided to splurge and go for a new body. While the specs of the E-5 dont look much different on paper when you use it the differences are great and good. It is so much easier to use...in fact Its FUN to use. The picture quality is is a step up and the New ART filter dramatic is very pleasing. almost HDR like with a single shot.Though i've only had it around 2 weeks i'm am so glad i got it. All my lastest images here @with the E-5Love it.

Bought this cable rather than try and repair the broken one. It arrived in a timely manner and was very reasonably priced!

I'm very happy with this gimbal and actually only have one issue which I should have caught before committing to it - the lightning port is covered up when the phone is in the holder as designed which blocks use of an external mic. I am searching for a work around using Bluetooth or WiFi. Feedback and suggestions welcome. But back to the gimbal. It handles my iPhone 12 just great. The feel is that of having a very sturdy build. The app is a great adjunct to the gimbal amd the features all work beautifully. It's a keeper and I'd definitely recommend it with the one caveat about the lightning port.

When using an external mic with a TRRS plug on your iPhone mounted in a rig or gimbal that blocks the lightning port, this allows you to use the lightning port without either crimping the cable or moving your iPhone so far away from the rig as to exacerbate balance problems. You only need move your iPhone about 19/32 away from the obstructive gimbal. I could not find any competing products.

I have a 6th gen iPad and this adapter connected to the lightning port and to a recent 55 TV. The results were excellent. Nice sharp picture and clean, full audio. Can't do any better than that

I use my 2017 iMac for music composition and recording. I wanted to connect a fast USB 3.0/Lightning hard drive to be online with the iMac all the time to use as a dedicated hard drive for music recording. I have a USB audio interface and MIDI keyboard controller connected all the time to the iMac and I found that the four iMac USB host ports were completely occupied when doing a Time Machine backup to another USB 3.0 external hard drive, so I wanted to move my dedicated music hard drive (G-Technology G Drive Mobile 1 TB USB 3.0/Lightning drive) to a Lightning 3 port on the iMac. I wanted to utilize a Lightning 3 port and also to free up a USB 3.0 host port. The Apple Thunderbolt 3 Male to Thunderbolt 2 Female Adapter allows me to do just that. The adapter powers the Lightning drive and provides fast I/O with no fuss.
