Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us. 5 |

This thing worked great. This is just what I needed to get my screen up and another screen to my projector up at the same time in my sanctuary. This was great. 5 |

This is my first projector purchase. What I like: --Lightweight and compact for portability. --Throw distance seems to be good for what I'm using it for (displaying in a home environment). --Optional wireless dongle means I can connect my iPad wirelessly. Works pretty well with practice. --Has a basic speaker. --Colors look great and there are a wide variety of ways you can adjust the picture to get it to look like you intended. --Remote control has a handy laser pointer. --Lens has a dust cap with a tether. What I don't like: --At 4000 lumens I thought it would be sufficient for a daylight indoor environment. Shades still have to be closed to get a good result suitable for displaying photos. --The lens is manual focus. Overall I would say it offers good value for the money. :-) 5 |
