I bought a Z7 last year and while it was a fantastic camera that took amazing photos it did have some limitations particularly around battery life and the lack of a vertical grip. The D850 solves both of these issues. The build quality is amazing and the pictures are fantastic. It is a true workhorse of a camera and probably the last one I am going to buy for many years.

While the first RX0 was revolutionary, there were still many limitations that made it a tough sell for many hobbyist photographers. In order to get the best results, it required a pro set up (external recorder for 4K, as well as an external monitor to actually see what you were recording, and a gimbal to stabilize the footage). I know this because I shot a short film using only the RX0. Sony gave me the new RX0II to test out and heres what I think. Not only does this update address those issues for hobbyist filmmakers, it adds a flip out screen, making it IMO the ultimate camera for an entirely new sector of creators: vloggers. It literally fits in your pocket, is protected against water, dropping (even crushing), etc. If you can a dual mount and a handle that puts the mic off to the side, its still wayyyy lighter than even Sonys a6400, also great for vlogging.  If you have a main camera, and want the ultimate camera B for travel content creation or vlogging (heck, even the photos Ive taken on the RX0 are legit), this is a must have in the tool kit. Squeeze it into a tight space, hang it out the window, take it underwater, it kind of does it all, now in 4K internally. Like I said the original had some setbacks, but this one is a no brainer.

This camera is one of my workhorse for narrative filmmaking. The key to any camera is knowing it's limitations and how to work with it. I've used this from bright sunny days to low light night street scenes and of course with the right lighting and exposure, the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 has 15 stops of dynamic range I can work with. I'd shoot with this camera over the URSA 12K when I don't need anything more than 4K to deliver. Best of all, the BRAW is so flexible that I can match shots with other more expensive cameras including the ARRI Alexa, which on some productions, we do so. This is currently the only cinema camera from BlackMagic Design that is approved on the Netflix Original films list of approve cams.

I did not expect much from this camera but it blew me away. It has it's limitations but for the price it comes up with a great video. I took the kids to the pool and played around with it underwater. Really good underwater video. I even used the cam in my car for vloging and the mic on the camera delivered clear audio better than my camcorder does. For the price everybody into video should have one because the camera is good and cheap so if you run over it, drop it off a mountain or have a moose swallow it, it's no big deal.

I have high end DSLR camera and I knew the limitations of this camera when I ordered this camera. This camera is good for travel and wild life watching. Unlike DSLR, this camera does not have fast focus or low light capability. However it produces, excellent images with handheld, automatic mode in full zoom. I love this camera, even if it is heavy and big.

I needed a smallish camera backpack to meet the maximum size and weight limitations for a regional flight carry-on. This backpack, although considered small, will carry all my gear, a laptop, and a change of clothes. Perfect! It seems to be well made too so I'm looking forward to years of use.

This bag is great if you understand it's limitations. It is NOT an all purpose, carry everything camera bag. It's the grab and go bag I carry my Canon T2i, and 1 extra lens, or my flash unit in. It's too small for two extra lens, or a spare lens and flash. But if that fits the bill, then this is rugged, padded gem of a day bag. Highly recommend it for the right job, which is to carry your camera around with you while you leave the rest of the kit behind or in the trunk.
