Replaced a 6 year old linksys wireless router with this unit. My first time with a mesh system. Setup was very easy. All devices connected quickly. Internet throughput is so much better with this unit. I am using Verizon 5G home internet with this router. Getting nearly 300 mbps download consistently. I get a strong wifi signal all over my house (3300 sq ft) and outside. I am very happy with this unit. 5 |

Using this with NEC NP-M352WS 3500-Lumen Portable Short Throw DLP Projector. Powerpoint slides are about 1 second delayed. No audio via the wireless adapter. However, I am happy with the device for my purposes. I also use a hard wire for audio/video usage. After the second round of ordering, receiving, and returning the first order of the projector and this adapter, an with level II NEC tech support, I am finally able to get the devices to work together. Also, I am not going to be using this on a wireless network/router, but through the Easy Connection option (no router present at installation). It came down to one simple operation (from Mac OS 6.8): Before starting the process below, you will need to get the wireless IP address of the projector. Mine was 10.0.39.155. -click on the wireless icon at the top of the screen -click on Open Network Preferences -click on Advanced -click on TCP/IP tab -change the Configure IPv4 setting to Manually -change the IPv4 Address: to something close to your video projector's (my instance: 10.0.39.160) -click OK and then Apply Don't forget to reverse this setting when you're done using the wireless adapter in order to connect to the internet normally. Hope this helps. 5 |

I was replacing a 15 year old Netgear Firewall Router which had capped my broadband throughput at only 60MBps. With this router installed, I'm getting the full 200+ MBps that I'm paying for to my ISP. The setup is a bit complicated if you're not used to fiddling with router settings. There is a wizard with some non-intuitive presets to help with setup as there are many different options for how the router functions. I'm giving it 5 stars because of the speed, and the relatively low cost. 5 |

I will start by saying that my ISP is Vyve Broadband. I carried my rented cable modem along with my new Netgear DOCSIS 3.1 High Speed 32x8 Cable Modem (CM1000) out to the local Vyve Broadband office. They pulled up my account and removed the rented cable modem, the added my Netgear cable modem information that is required for activation. I changed my internet service to the 200 Mbps plan. After returning home I hooked up my new Netgear CM1000 cable modem, the cable to its input and a short CAT6 cable from the WAN connection to my Netgear router WAN port. I powered on the devices and the modem and router went to work, with various lights blinking. It took only about 5 minutes and the cable modem had set itself up completely and with the Netgear router. I logged in to the cable modem to have a look at the stats. I then went to a speed test sight which showed that my download was 211 Mbps and upload 20 Mbps. All of my PCs, router, switch and access point connect at 1000 Mbps instead of the 100 Mbps that it used to. Am I satisfied and happy with this purchase??? You better believe it. 5 |

Awsome...this router was an upgrade from a very old linksys router. There is no way to compair this. The wifi 7 is blazing fast. There is only one down side and that is the wifi 7 range, but thats where the wifi 6 comes in. 5 |

I purchased this to replace an aging Linksys router that was no longer up to the task of handling the number of smart home devices currently in use. I spent considerable time deciding between brands, specs, and cost before choosing XT8. Setup was as easy as it gets; the Asus app is a big step up from my previous Linksys app, and aided in making the setup smooth w/no hiccups. So far, performance has improved across all devices, and I no longer experience some of the issues I had with my previous system. All in all, a great system at a nice price point. 5 |

I replaced an expensive Linksys router with this one and my only wish is that I had done this sooner. Like the Ubiquiti switches, this is fairly simple to configure and install but also offers some very advanced settings for those that want to utilize those. It runs cool and quiet and made a dramatic difference in the speed and quality of both my LAN and WAN connections. Shown in picture with rack mount kit, not included with router. 5 |

I purchased this AP to replace a Linksys EA6900 router that I had setup as an AP. I am VERY satisfied. The setup did require me to contact tech support which was also very helpful. It was only a minor issue but if you are not familiar with networking, don't hesitate to contact them. The AP provides very good range and led signals to help indicate the status. I have set this AP up in my attic and also utilized the USB port on the AP to install an AC Infinity USB fan since it is in the attic. The AP is very light and small in terms of size. The Unif Controller is very helpful in managing the AP but remember, it cannot be managed remotely. You must connect your laptop to the router or switch in order to manage the AP. The controller provides many tools to help your identify which AP is being widely used and which devices are connected to which AP. I slowly converted out of Linksys Routers that I had set up as APs. Although my routing is being done by a Linksys WRT1900 ACS which is a great combo! Overall, the AP is very reliable and provides great range. The current price is perfect and you should definitely consider implementing one into your network! 5 |

I moved from an older Linksys consumer router to this. Even though it's not the latest greatest anymore, it's definitely an improvement over what I had. I'm pairing this with another company's access point to cover my house. As others have probably said in different reviews, this device is more complicated to set up than a typical Linksys or Netgear router, but there are guides available to help through the process. 5 |
