I am using these speakers for 2 channel music listening. I use the Tidal HiFi streaming and I am very satisfied.

This is a one cable solution to get from a computer with only usb c ports to a hifi DAC. Works as intended.

I have just upgraded my old HiFi system which finally bit the dust although I'd been wanting to add to my Sonos system anyway. I have two Sonos 5 speakers which produce gorgeous, sexy paired sound from the turntable also bought from Sonos. I got advice from Sonos regarding adding my CD player to the system - a quick emailed photo from the technical system booklet which accompanied my CD player over 30 years ago - and I was advised to purchase a Sonos Port. Very easy set up although I had to consult YouTube regarding the turntable which isn't an actual Sonos product. I can now listen to my old 45s and vinyl albums, iTunes, CDs and believe I can stream audio from films on my iPad although I haven't tried that last one yet. It all adds on to my Play 3 in the kitchen and my Playbar. Although I was an existing Sonos customer and thought it was a great product, the 5 speakers can't be praised enough.

I'm not a musician nor a producer, podcaster, YouTuber, nor anyone else who records much, so why did I lay out my own hard earned cash for this thing then? Well, I had a few different needs that this one piece of equipment handles very well. First and foremost, I'm a music lover. I have a decent sized library of records and a couple of bulging hard drives with ripped cds. I need a way to losslessly rip my records to my computer. I had actually used a Focusrite Saffire but an update to my computer made that piece unusable. This unit seems to be a step up rather than a near replacement as my rips are coming out clean. I also needed a high quality interface between my computer and hifi and the Scarlett once again handles the job with aplomb. It sounds pretty fantastic honestly. Very clear and true to the source material. I also do a little online radio show as an excuse to hang out with long distance friends so I needed a good mic input on my computer. Well that's what the Scarlett is made for so of course it does that well. It also acts as a dac for playing cds with an old Blu-ray player as a transport. It just works at that too. So one product that's a vinyl ripper, soundcard, mic input, and s/dif dac and sounds terrific too boot? That's a home run in my book. So you don't have to be a recording engineer or pro musician to get this, I'm letting you know right here and now that it is perfectly at home in a hifi environment as well. You do need to fiddle with it a little and adjust some settings in your computer to get it to jive with your system but it's not real hard to do. Once that's done though you have an incredibly versatile and well built solution to all kinds o audio problems. Well worth the asking price IMO.

After many hours of reading reviews of Turntable preamps I decided on the J33 for several reasons. 1) Radial has an outstanding reputation with live sound and recording engineers. 2) One of the only units with XLR (Balanced) outputs. I'm using this with a Linn Sondek LP12 Turntable. Connected the L/R RCA outputs of the J33 into a Harmon Kardon amplifier for listening through Klipsch Forte speakers. The L/R XLR outputs into Presonus AI24 Mixer. The Presonus is connected to a Mac running Pro Tools. Main purpose of this is to allow conversion of vinyl (not available commercially in digital format) to digital format with Pro Tools in my recording studio. The meters in Pro Tools show almost -inf noise floor with the J33. That is very impressive. There literally is no audible hum from the J33 or the Linn. The J33 is also built like a tank. Very happy with my choice and would highly recommend this device for anyone wanting to add a preamp to their turntable.
