This battery is easy to replace; slides right in after the unit's face pops off, the metal plate is unscrewed/opened, and the old battery removed. The directions include a website where you can obtain a free shipping label to mail the old one back for recycling. Simply fill out the form, print out the label and affix to the same box the new one arrived in. Drop it off at the appropriate shipping center or have it picked up and you are good to go. You can even do this while keeping the UPS on (in case your hardware is mission-critical). 5 |

OK, you can now use cheap alkalines and get more runtime than premium blue label lithium batteries. If you mount it correctly, you can still flip and visually check switches on the back. And you also get to keep your threaded mounting hole. Nice idea and comes with the short cable to run the unit properly. 5 |

The Watson Lithium-Ion Battery is definitely a great choice for those who's original GoPro battery is just not cutting it! I bought this battery to replace the worn out battery that came with my GoPro Hero 3. The original battery was to the point I was lucky to get 2 hours at most, even without the screen attached. With this new battery, I was able to complete an entire overnight Timelapse, note that's without the screen, but even with the screen on it's still a lot better! I would 10/10 recommend this.
