Lithium Vs Alkaline Aa Battery Test
Robert | 2024-08-07 04:10:19 |
Finally a battery tester that will read NIMH batteries, along with Alkaline, Lithium and 9Volt. The pulse load gives a more accurate reading of what battery to use in a portable flash unit. Very easy to use and packs in easily when in the field. 5 |

It's good to have a battery testing on hand and this one does the lithium and alkaline batteries. One thing I would note is for rechargeable batteries that have been handled a lot; it a good practice to clean terminals with isopropyl alcohol otherwise it could give inconsistent results. This is covered in the manual and in their FAQ on the website. It is not readily apparent as to why you would need to read the manual for such a straight forward device :). 5 |

Love the lithium battery. Lasts so much longer than all the alkaline batteries I was using and best of all it saves me gas on all the trips I don't have it make to change those alkaline batteries. 5 |

Love the picture quality and the battery life 2 months running strong on lithium AA battery's in a high traffic area the option to be able to run 1 or both packs is awesome so if you want to keep one full pack on hand and you go to that location pretty regular would definitely recommend 5 |

The long life AA lithium battery has many uses including in an emergency so keeping spares on-hand isn't a worry due to the 10 year shelf life. I use it in business & personal life for cameras, NOAA weather radio, flashlights, hand-held computer, emergency strobe light, laser level, to name a few. B&H always has fresh inventory 5 |

This mic is great for field production jobs. Sturdy and the battery life is great as well if you use the lithium AA. The kit thats available is good quality as well. Haven't had a problem with it at all. 5 |

Lithium batteries are much lighter than alkaline and rechargeable - great for a hot shoe mounted flash. And they last considerably longer. Just remember the voltage dropoff at the end is very steep. By the time you realize that the batteries are low, they're already dead. Carry spares! 5 |

I shoot a lot of events and use the Canon Speedlights and I use rechargable Eneloop Pro AA batteries. I had a few batteries that were dying, which can bring down the entire system of flashes if you have a bad battery in your Master flash. The problem is you don't know which is the bad battery. In the past I would take all 16 AA batteries out of service and replace the whole lot of them. Well with this device I can find the few bad batteries and just replace a them. And all those old batteries (~40 of them) I'd taken out of service I was able to test. Turns out about 80% of them are still great, there were just a ~20% that were bad. My process for testing them is this. I use the 8 bay waston charger that does a full discharge and then chargers them fully (~20hrs). Then I (actually had my 8 a nd 12 year old kid do it) test each AA battery 3 times a row. If they ever get a test reading of 60% or lower I remove them from my working batteries. I keep the 80-100% in use for my flashes. It's solved nearly 98% of my dropping issues with the flashes. Long review, but this device is totally worth it and it works great! Highly recommend it. 5 |
