Canon batteries seam to last better in cold weather than some other batteries.

I use these extensively in my trailcameras, last much longer than alkaline types and they really come thru in extremely cold weather periods that we experience here in Michigan. Nothing better !!

Finally a battery tester that will read NIMH batteries, along with Alkaline, Lithium and 9Volt. The pulse load gives a more accurate reading of what battery to use in a portable flash unit. Very easy to use and packs in easily when in the field.

It's good to have a battery testing on hand and this one does the lithium and alkaline batteries. One thing I would note is for rechargeable batteries that have been handled a lot; it a good practice to clean terminals with  isopropyl alcohol otherwise it could give inconsistent results. This is covered in the manual and in their FAQ on the website. It is not readily apparent as to why you would need to read the manual for such a straight forward device :).

Love the lithium battery. Lasts so much longer than all the alkaline batteries I was using and best of all it saves me gas on all the trips I don't have it make to change those alkaline batteries.

Lithium batteries are much lighter than alkaline and rechargeable - great for a hot shoe mounted flash. And they last considerably longer. Just remember the voltage dropoff at the end is very steep. By the time you realize that the batteries are low, they're already dead. Carry spares!

I use these Alkaline batteries in a shutter release. They work well during nighttime photography when it can get cold. These batteries hold up.

All lithium batteries have their pros and cons but these are the best of the best and they work just as well in -20 degree weather and in 100 degree weather.

I use these lithium batteries in my weather station. They last a long time and can handle the 20 below weather we get.
