Load Wii Games From Usb Flash Drive

I bought this for backing up family videos and pictures but I'm using to load games on my Wii because it is so much faster than my Seagate GoFlex 500GB. I'm using it on USB 2.0 mode co can't comment on 3.0. This is my second WD portable drive and I'll makes sure the next ones are WD again.

For less than $4.50 this is the best USB flash drive I have been able to find anywhere. I was able to load a 25GB video file in 21 minutes. Hard to beat.

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

This drive has been great as my gaming drive, the games load super fast and run smooth as butter! I like having the Samsung magic app that shows me how well my drive is performing.

If you like computers booting instantly and do not like to wait around for games/applications to load then upgrade to this M2 drive now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having no previous experience with these, I honestly didn't realize just how the faster load times would actually effect things. I figured since I wasn't a huge multiplayer FPS gamer, that I wouldn't actually benefit that much from using a NVMe SSD. I was completely wrong. I used this to upgrade my gaming PC from my old SATA drive and, as you can imagine, the difference is really noticeable. First off, my computer boots a lot faster. What seemed like it took minutes before is literally just seconds. The same is true with my games. I do play some pretty large file games and these used to take a minute or 2 to load but now they're really just a few seconds, it seems. Overall every process is just so much faster. I wish I would have realized before now just how much better it is. I would have just gotten this from the beginning. I can't attest to what it would be like going from a standard SSD drive to this, but for me, it was night and day.

I should have done this years ago as it really adds speed to everything. I bought the 120GB drive and it formatted and was recognized by my xbox. Depending on the size of the game, you can load a handful at a time to this and then transfer them back to the mechanical drive when you are done. Works great.

moved all my games to this ssd and work better than from my mechanical drive, write speed over 100MB and faster load times, good buy if you need an upgrade
