Quality product with great lockup, and holds zero well. Definitely appreciate the quick detach feature - I wish it were a little cheaper, I'd probably get a couple more for some other builds at a lower price, but overall very happy and would recommend!

I was having lockup issues while shooting continuous and I wondered if it was memory card related. It looks like it was! With this card, the camera hasn't locked up AND I can shoot way longer before filling up the buffer. Worth every penny.

I bought this to setup for Panos. It is incredibly well made. The machining is perfect, the knobs big and easy to use, and the lockup is fantastic. I highly recommend.

Nikon's foot was waayyy too small for comfort, and the lockup is just not tight enough. This foot is MASSIVE in comparison, and the arca dovetails are wonderful. It has the travel stop screws already installed and locks right onto to the lens. Makes a wonderful carry handle as well as a perfect tripod food. Nikon needs to take a page from RRS's playbook.

In addition to the capabilities listed in the instructions, this unit can engage mirror lockup if you set it to fire the shutter twice as many times as the number of images you want to make. If mirror lockup is enabled in the menu, the mirror will lock up every other pulse and the shutter will be released on alternate pulses. Very useful for bracketing HDR photographs and macrophotography without touching the camera.

I purchased this head for use with a variety of cameras, including a Sony A7Riii, for video. Despite differences in weight and center of gravity, the counter balance is easy to adjust and highly effective. The panning drag adjustment takes very little force to change, and can be adjusted to near lockup with only thumb pressure. Vertical drag is adjusted with a center knob, and the vertical lockup using the surrounding ring. The lockup engages very gradually, more like a tension control. The combination of these controls makes it easy to hold the tilt even if the weight is a little off, yet make smooth adjustments to the camera. I also like the way the plate drops into place, releasing the locking lever. You dont have to slide it in from one end. You can loosen this lever without releasing the plate for fine balance control. The is a thumb button to press, which lets you move the plate lock out of the way, where it snaps in place, holding it open. You can then lift the camera off the head without sliding it.

I got this case to keep all my gear contained in one place that I can lockup and keep my kit secure. I haven't travelled with it yet, but it's perfect for keeping your setup organized while at the office!
