I'm gonna put it to you straight: I love this thing.Great things about it? Multiple fingering modes, two banks, rechargeable, wireless with ridiculously low latency (even when battery gets low) and a sound editor software that delivers. Having higher quality sounds compared to EWI4000s is great and being able to layer or octave those sounds without being hooked up to a computer is great for random creativity. For starters, it has a good sound that is actually adaptive to your style of play. I went through the whole of the sound bank and was pleased as I believe it's a true update. There will be uninformed haters out there that will say the sounds are not realistic or sound kazoo-like after listing to samples through a YouTube video, but what they're failing to realize is that it is an EWI, not a reed instrument; and, YouTube sound quality considering the source material and player isn't always that great. The EWI accomplishes everything it set out to and does not misrepresent what it can do in its instruction manual or marketing. I find that if I do a forceful brass hit or a strong blow using the saxophone sounds that there is a distinct difference in how the sound is presented and how it is carried. I find this ability built into the vast majority of sounds I use. These are the great things about the instrument.Areas in need of improvement? Let's see.. some thought that having a wireless MIDI ability would be useful, but honestly, I don't find this that important. Use a cord or acquire a wireless setup that you trust and believe in. Being able to load your own sounds? Get an iPad or a computer, VST library and software and use a cord. Again, I don't find this to be a hang-up. I owned the EWI4000s and did just fine with cords. I did fine then and I'll do fine now.All in all a great buy. Highly recommended. Highly responsive. Highly customizable. And a highly prized member of my instrument collection. 5 |

So my band - Chimera - (https://open.spotify.com/artist/5lkJIQnKpJYciREbqQp6Jj) bought this Zoom recorder to record our rehearsals and live shows to then be able to mix and sweeten in Apple Logic down the road. It is working great! We record 8 tracks live into the Zoom on SD card and then I pop it out, into my Mac Studio and the tracks are right there to import into Logic. A little re-naming before importing and everything works perfectly. Still need to tweek some of the settings for recording specific instruments (bass) but overall - great right out of the box. Additionally, the customer service from B&H - as always - was superb. I had a few questions about the interface to my Mac Studio and other audio interface hardware, and the B&H folks showed me how I can turn the 12 tracks I have with the Zoom into 20 tracks with my other hardware. It would have taken me hours (if not longer) to figure that out. Thanks B&H. 5 |

I got this to record audio with my best mics (xlr) for youtube without using Logic and my mixer. I have a little Zoom and a Tascam, but this works well. My grandkids also like the sound effect buttons. The phantom power works as advertised. Great tool for the purpose I got it for. 5 |

I'm loving my new mac. I had one of the first G5's but it wasn't an intel. I needed a new intel to run my logic software with hundreds of music programs and samples. This computer is running great with only 3 gig sticks with no gliches. The only issue I've run across is that my laCie desk drive is not recognized yet. I'm still trying to figure out the issue but all else is well.... 5 |

I purchase this item to better record my vocal and none electoral instrument. I was I amazed by how hoe crisp the sound came from my PC. I was so shock that I could not believe that that was my voice. Now working now confidence, learning how to get used to my voice which sound too sweet. The ladies will love it!! B&H partner in crime.. 5 |

I'm a musician and video myself a lot playing my instrument. I needed a remote so I don't always have to get up and press the record button between takes. Some reviewers have said that the setup was complicated. Not for me. I'm using a Canon M50 and the remote was up and running within a few minutes. I'd also like to point out that it's really small, which is great so it can disappear easily in my pocket when I film myself. 5 |

I'm extremely impressed with basically everything about this drum machine. To start with, the hardware is impeccable. Made in Sweden, *extremely* robust-feeling (heavy metal construction), excellent QC. All buttons feel good, pad sensitivity is very good. The physical design is excellent. The firmware is also quite excellent. I have experienced zero bugs of any kind, and the UI/UX design integration between the firmware and the physical controls is really good. They've clearly put a huge amount of thought into how people are going to use this. One downside is that you do have to go out and learn Elektron's data model (what is a song vs a pattern vs a track vs...), but there are a number of good youtube videos explaining this clearly. A big surprise - the desktop software is actually really good! I'm used to musical instrument vendor software being absolute garbage, and I would normally never e.g. install a kernel extension from a musical instrument developer. However, Elektron seems to have some really competent software people! Overbridge engine works quite well, and lets you do really cool stuff, like record each of the 8 tracks *individually* into your DAW using just a USB cable. When I compare this to a certain other well-known Swedish instrument manufacturer (who doesn't actually make their instruments in Sweden...), this device comes out ahead in every single metric. So glad I got this! 5 |
