Logitech C270 Camera Video Ratio

We put one of these Logitech C270 webcams on 45 company desktop computers so users could participate in Teams and Zoom meetings. These are fine little webcams, and great for our purposes.

The C270 is a good camera for the price. It generates a good clear picture. The microphone is very good too. I like my C270, It is the second one I have purchased.

I am very pleased with the Logitech C930 webcam and with B&H Video.

My laptop camera was clearly not cutting it for my very frequent Zoom calls so I purchased this Logitech C930e Webcam. So much better! The video is brighter and much cleaner. Anyone used to my laptop video noticed right away. Definitely recommended.

Very simple to use and the Video is incredible! I am very pleased with the Logitech Video Camera. I use it with my MacBook Pro. I am very happy that I made this choice from B&H.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this c270 webcam a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with the easy installation and the help from my smart friends tech...they made sure it was correctly installed...the picture is very good...and the saleslady was very helpful and knowledgable.

I bought this as a display to use while coding, and discovered it's also amazing for YouTube. It's a "Nano-IPS" panel -- which is OK. I use an ultrawide PVA panel as well, and like that contrast better for code. The Nano-IPS is good enough, but it makes the background color too bright for my taste. That's more than made up for by aspect ratio and size. It enables me to see so much code, both vertically and horizontally, that it's a huge productivity improvement. Totally a panel designed for coders and video content creators. The other thing it's great at is YouTube. I'm not a video creator, but just viewing YouTube is better on this panel. The screen aspect ratio puts big, black bars on top and bottom -- which the YouTube web view uses to put controls and closed captions into. This means I can now watch programming tutorial videos with captioning turned on (really helps with accents), and see the screen/code far better. It's a huge improvement for people who use YouTube to consume educational, especially programming, content. If it were gen2 OLED ( like the LG G2 OLED panel ), I would easily say it's the best "work" monitor on the planet. But, it loses some value for being nano-IPS.

If you are going SDI or HDMI into a live video production switcher, this is a fantastic converter to have on hand. Switchers can be finicky with resolutions and frame rates. This device can output exactly what your switchers needs. Presenters frequently still have 4:3 slides coming from a VGA source. This device can take the 4:3 VGA source and scale it to 1920x1080 SDI pillar boxed to maintain the aspect ratio. There are a variety of custom settings that can be configured via USB. The first 2 switches in the down position will recall the settings that were created on a computer. With the dip switches, you can can easily configure the inputs and outputs without the need for a monitor or difficult menu driven settings. For a great deal of use cases, this works out well. To get a VGA signal to maintain it's original aspect ratio though, you will need to plug the convert in via USB. I wish this was on of the default configurable settings on the device. The 2 aspect ratios configurable with the dip switches are full and span scan, which scales the picture horizontally but cuts off the top and bottom of the image. I suppose this would be useful if you were running 16:9 video fullscreen from a 4:3 source.
