Logitech Camera Recording Format

Fujifilm X-T3 has got most professionals cinema features except raw file format recording like prores, dnxhd ibis ( for those who prefer it). To top it all up has got a high quality still photographs making it a high end hybrid camera. This is a great Camera with a few tiny concerns to me. The battery takes two hours to fully charge so if you take HD videos you get maybee 30 minutes before needing a recharge so then a second battery is important. Another thing is the HD recording is in MOV format and it will only play in Quick Time on a computer with the Canon software Zoom Browser Installed. Without Zoom Browser installed, Quick Time won't play the MOV format Canon makesprobably because MOV editing capability is embeded in Canon's MOV format I also find that MOV format gets only 30 minutes recording per 4 GB's data versus the preferred MPEG-4 format used on higher end SLR cameras for HD recording that compresses four times better at least. If this Camara could record in MPEG-4 format it would be much better. For example you can put a two hour MPEG-4 movie on 4 GB's data as the film industry uses on DVD's. Other than that I love this camera because it is highly functional, yet relatively small. I avoid those big SLR camera's because in many situations they are too intrusive to use casually in public and are easily left at home because they are a pain to lug around. This is a very practical camera for all uses except professional wedding photography and the like.

I'm used to working on Keningston Trackballs in various recording studios, and I really wanted one in my office as well, so I jumped on B&H's recent flash sale on these. It's a really nice upgrade over the logitech marble trackball I was using previously. The ergonomics are night and day, thanks to the wrist rest and the larger size. It's also nice to have the scroll ring, which was absent on the logitech.

No compatibility issues...used on 3 different recording drives. No duds and these discs format quickly. Use them for sharing photos and MP3s of the band. Never had a complaint about read issues.

Can hold large format camera.

Paying for it was painful, but using it is amazing. I bought a pair and have confidence it will support every recording format the Sony FX6 can do.

I do a lot of live streaming and initially bought the Video Assist to make a backup recordings of each show. It's a deceptively simple looking device, and I didn't read the manual before plugging it in, which was definitely a mistake. You do need to format your SD card before recording, and you do need to set your recording format to allow enough record time for your program. That aside, there is a lot to love about this little monitor/recorder. Besides the backup recordings I described here, I've been using it as a more sophisticated viewfinder for my Panasonic HPX-250 camera, taking advantage of the video scopes and focus assist to give me superior picture quality. I would highly recommend this to videographers trying to upgrade their setup.
