This product is great for the camera's it is made for. I wear glasses and it makes life easy to see the viewer.

Great to have this slide viewer to look at old family slides. The other Slide Viewer I own is not a good a magnifier or as easy to use. Definitely recommend this product!

I purchased this viewfinder to shoot in sunny conditions. I like how much easier it is to see the screen while using it, it works great for this. I think the mount system works well if you are only using your camera body. The mount system is not so great if you plan to use camera rails and or mount to a tripod with accessories. Then, it becomes pretty tricky. I actually turned the viewfinder mounting plate backwards under the viewer so that I could attach it to a rail plate plate, then to rails and slide it up to the camera viewer. If I don't do this, the viewer plate lifts my camera and throws my whole rig out of alignment with my follow focus and matte box.. So, be aware of this scenario depending on what other gear you may be wanting to use. All in all, a handy thing to have when needed.

I am using a 1950's Kodak stereo camera which produces sets of two images to be mounted in stereo slide binders. The images produced by the 35mm E100 positive color film are superb when viewed directly in the viewer. The colors are perfectly natural; grainless with balanced clearity needed when viewing with magnifying eye lenses of the viewer.

I can't pay any higher praise on this camera than, I bought it again. Besides the really long optical zoom, I love the flip-out back viewer. I use the flip-out back almost exclusively. The viewer eye piece works fine, but I am more comfortable not looking through the camera. I like to twist the back viewer for high and low-angle shots. That is something a camera with a built-in view back can not do. I will sorely miss this camera when I can no longer buy another. The camera is choke full of other nifty features, but I am mostly a point-n-shoot photographer. In manual-mode, I got some great eclipse shots (lunar and solar) using a tripod for stability. Canon has somewhat recently added a phone app that allows remote control of the camera and remote downloads to the phone memory card. I really am digging those feature, too. Since Canon has not made a replacement camera in this line, I have to assume they are not developing this line any further. I think I should buy still another and just store it away until I wear out this new one.

This works great as a reference viewer when taping yourself alone (selfie mode), or if you want to see the framing of what is being recorded while you are in front of the camera. And this is especially helpful if your camera's lcd screen doesn't swivel around. This is the case with a lot of the Sony's or other brands that have screens that just tilt up. I find this accessory a great pairing with my Sony A73 with a screen that only flips up. The mirror is big enough to keep an eye on the framing and what is happening in the background. Fits right on the cold shoe of the camera and works just as advertised. Another nice feature is this has cold shoes on all three sides so I can now add even more accessories attachments, like a small light or small mic, which is great. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

This is a very well made shade for a camera's LCD screen. The overall construction is very professional looking and neat. The viewable portion of the FZ-1000 screen is approximately 2.5" wide and the plastic frame of the screen is approximately 3.25" wide. The hood is a perfect height for this viewer as well. This 3" width hood size allows the entire screen to be viewed and the sides rest neatly on the plastic frame of the viewer. The Velcro wrap-around closure on the back provides a snug enough hold to keep the hood in place during use. Some care needs to be taken while installing it to not stress the camera's viewer arm mechanism while fastening the Velcro together for the first time or reinstalling it later. It can then be slid off fairly easily without loosening the Velcro to change orientation if the viewer is swiveled around. There is no need to loosen the Velcro once adjusted - just leave it as it is, so this is a one time adjustment. The flocking on the inside surface prevents reflections - a nice feature. Overall this is a great little item for the price, and it looks great on the camera. After use, just slide it right off and place it in the camera bag.
