Logitech Circle View Camera Review

I received my Logitech Circle View doorbell today. The installation was simple with the detailed online instruction. Setting up the doorbell was equally easy. The whole process took perhaps an hour, but I'm no speed demon. The doorbell performs exactly as advertised, and the quality of both the daytime video and nighttime video is awesome. I would highly recommend this doorbell to anyone.

Clear pictures, fast notifications and peace of mind make for a fantastic system. HomeKit allows for multiple people to view which is an added bonus. My Doorbell is hardwired for power and flawless.

I needed a webcam to use for working from home. I was skeptical at first that a small webcam such as this could produce a great image but I purchased anyway. After hooking the camera up and installing the optional Logitech Camera Settings app, I was blown away at the quality and field of view this camera offered. The 1080p resolution is crystal clear, even when zooming in. The zoom and pan options in the Logitech Camera Settings app were a nice touch to allow you to zoom in on yourself or pull focus on something else in view without having to physically move the camera. One thing I was happy to see is that this camera doesn't do that weird zoom/auto-focus thing that many Logitech cameras do where the person goes completely out of focus for a few seconds while it tries to auto-focus. I have a headset that I use for my video conferencing but the camera includes a microphone, should you need one. So far, I have zero complaints on the product. Overall, I would highly recommend this webcam for it's quality and features.

This is my second Logitech camera (I gave my first one to a family member). Both cameras work perfectly. I've used the BRIO for a number of months. I'm most impressed with the image quality. I wanted a camera with high resolution and one that would allow me to change the angle of view (I use the 65-degree angle). A plus is the ability to change USB cords. One negative is the way Logitech mounted the 1/4 tripod mount necessitating the removal of the mounting clip to access the threaded mount. I had to look at YouTube to find the trick behind removing the clip without breaking it. (Logitech does sell replacement mounting clips--people must be breaking them?) In the end, great image quality, three user-selected view angles, and a replacement USB cord are what sell this camera.

My Circle View Doorbell is an asset more than an accessory. I’ve never understood the power of recording and human behavior until this device came into my life. The initial setup was straightforward. It wasn’t that big of a deal to install, as long as you followed the simple instructions found on the website. It’s quality has gotten numerous of compliments from curious neighbors. Lastly, the packaging is exactly how I’d expect an Apple ecosystem’s device.

This is our second Circle View. The first one died after two years. I works well with the Home App and helps kept me firmly in Apple’s walled garden.

I use this for zoom backgrounds. It's large enough to cover the field of view for my Logitech desk cam. The springy frame holds it open. I can just prop it against the wall, no stand needed, unless you use a standing desk.

The Logitech c930e webcam is available again, after the great demand that resulted from all the work-from-home necessary due to the Covid19 public health problem. We had been using a much older Logitech C920 webcam that we purchased years ago, which was quite useful considering the age of the technology. However, this webcam provides a much wider field of view. Our older webcam has a smaller 70+ degree field of view, but this 930e has a 90 degree field of view. It also has 1080p HD quality resolution, enhanced lighting and low light compensation, digital zoom, a removable privacy shutter, and many other features. We are very happy with this webcam. This model no longer comes with a Zeiss lens, but it is listed as a quality glass lens. The webcam works well, right out of the box, but the enhanced software drivers do not. Windows 10 loads generic software drivers automatically and it is a bit of hassle getting the better Logitech drivers to install. The generic drivers work fairly well, but the extra features and enhanced video provided with the Logitech software are not to be found. B & H Photo shipped promptly and the package arrived safely.
