Logitech G502 Rgb Tunable Gaming Mouse Review

Been using it for over a week. It has been great for FPS gaming: just the right amount of friction and my mouse (Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED) slides beautifully. The size should be enough when you set your mouse to low DPS and need to turn wide angles.

I became interested in this when making plans to upgrade my PC gaming setup. Older logitech mice constantly needed batteries swapped at inopportune moments. I am a casual gamer, so mouse maintenance was a significant hassle. I have paired the powerplay with a G502 and they are a pair. The mouse has yet to get low on me, either during productivity or play. The mousepad comes with two surfaces and I am using the cloth/fabric one instead of plastic. Time will tell if the fabric holds up, but build quality appears appropriate. The base/hub at the top of the mouse pad is fairly unobtrusive. You will have to make geometric arrangement for the cable that powers the mousepad on your desk space, as it can only be plugged in from the top. So far I have not found any disadvantage to this setup other than cost. The G502 wireless logitech mouse is superb also.

These lights offer a tunable daylight range along with RGB. The quality of light is very good, without flicker or hum. The RGB lights can quickly change the feel/mood/dynamic of a room. With these being Smart-Lights it is possible to control via app, by Bluetooth or (using the Hue Bridge) Zigbee. This allows dynamic lighting, assignment of zones, etc. Although these are significantly more expensive than traditional lights, the functionality and significant improvement in ambiance makes it worthwhile.

My previous mouse was also a logitech gaming mouse (MX 518) which I owned for about 10 years - finally it needed to be replaced because it kept disconnecting intermittently. It was my favorite mouse because it felt very “smooth” and easy to use. So I replaced it with this mouse because the online reviews kept saying this was pretty much the default choice for a great gaming mouse. No regrets - it feels very nice so far, and I expect I’ll get many years out of it based upon my previous experiences with Logitech gaming mice, and from what I’ve heard of other long-time owners of this mouse
