I use this lens for video conferencing. I modified some Logitech C920 cameras with a CS mount + switchable IR filter. It works great.

If you have the Logitech Rally video conferencing system, don't waste your time with any other mounting hardware but this. Our university AV group was looking for a video conference solution for our classrooms and conference rooms that would not be a huge line item on the rooms AV budget. The Logitech Group system helped us fulfill the Skype, WebEx, Zoom users request for a more professional video conference experience without having to dive into the high end Cisco/Polycom hardware. For rooms where we installed the Logitech into the rooms AV system we did add the Group cable extension kit, which allowed us to bring the connections to an Extron cable cubby that we had fitted into the conference room table. So far our students and faculty have really enjoyed having access to a more upgraded camera and mic/speaker system for pop web conferencing requests.

If you need a camera separate from your laptop to to use for yourself or a group meeting, this Logitech camera will fit the bill. The picture quality is impressive and is dual built in mics give good sound quality. You get more than you expect for this low cost camera. You may need to convert its USB C output to a USB A but that a $10 fix.

I purchased this camera to make my video conferencing calls look better and it definitely works! At first, it was a little tricky to set up and figure out how to choose the video orientation (from fish eye to normal). But it's a great purchase and makes my office look awesome.

I use this camera with a Point Grey Research Flea3 for LOLA video conferencing. It's very sharp and wide enough for most uses.
