Logitech Speakers Z906 Specs

I bought the Z906 to replace my aging Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 system with a failing amp. I loved the Klipsch speakers, but sadly Klipsch (and seemingly everyone else other than Logitech) has stopped making 5.1 multimedia systems. Thankfully Logitech makes a pretty good unit. The real draw to something like this, in my opinion, is if you want a relatively compact, reasonably-priced, good-sounding setup that you can easily plug a computer into. I've used this sort of setup in my living room with great results, and at a fraction of the cost of buying separate components. Since my computer has pretty solid sound-processing capability, I don't have the need for all the extra features of a stand-alone receiver. The Logitech Z906 packs quite a punch and sounds almost as good as the Klipsch in most situations. Pluses for the Z906 are it's built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoding (for things like an XBox) and its included remote control. True, it doesn't handle the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD soundtracks on Blu-Ray discs, but my computer does, and so the analog pass-through from the PC into the Z906 makes this unnecessary in my case anyway. The Z906 seems solidly built, and is easy to install with its standard speaker mount points and spring-lock speaker wire connectors. One very minor quibble is that the power cable is permanently attached to the sub (the Klipsch used a detachable C14 computer-style plug). Overall, I'm very happy with the Z906. 5 |

I own a video production company and have 28 employees. I have six editors that use Mac Pro's, all the Mac's use fiber optic from the Mac sound card to a windows PC running Creative X-Fi Elite Pro THX Certified sound cards. All the editing bays have this setup and use Creative GigaWorks S750, 7.1, THX Certified, 750 watt speaker systems. The Logitech Z906, 5.1, THX Certified, 500 watt speaker system is replacing one of the Creative S750 speaker systems that was 12 years old. Logitech appears to be the only company that offers a high wattage, 5.1, THX Certified Speaker System, no one that I can find carries a 7.1, THX Certified, high wattage sound system. The sound quality of the Logitech Z906, 5.1, THX Certified, 500 watt speaker system is outstanding. The signal-to-noise level is perfect for clean audio sound. We use Final Cut Pro 10 and Avid Media Composer 7 editing software and even when we add LFE (Low Frequency Effects) we get no distortion, the speakers are small enough to not waste a lot of space on the editing board. For the user/pro that wants a quality sound system and has the sound card that will facilitate the Z906 speaker system then the Logitech Z906 is the sound you are looking for. 5 |

I am using these as replacement speakers for my PC Z906 5.1 surround system, specifically for music from my turntable which is attached to my subwoofer/amplifier. I'm using another brand for my center speaker. 5 |

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller. Thanks Logitech for making such a fine product, and never discontinue these great speakers. Thanks 5 |

You can't beat the quality of these speakers for the price. Nice full sound. Logitech does it right! 5 |

I bought four of these (two for mains and two for monitors) because they were significantly lighter than *any* other 8 or 10 powered speakers and had better specs (power, response, etc.) than almost all other 10 powered speakers at *any* price. I just used them for six vocalists (at once) at an outdoor picnic and they were as clear as studio monitors, even when turned up loud - both the musicians and the audience were delighted. My new favorite powered speakers. 5 |

This is a good 1440p monitor for its price. It has good specs and the screen has good colors and looks nice. 1440p @ 165hz looks good. The speakers are not very good but it's nice to have some built in instead of having to get external speakers. I am happy with it. 5 |

I read the specs from Mackie so I figured that these speakers would work for what I tend to do sound reinforcement for. The handle placement is ideal, especially when placing them on speaker stands and the sound coming out them filled a 75 by 100 ft meeting room nicely with very clean audio. Yes I would recommend this product to a friend 5 |

Great speakers for any occasion. I purchased the 12 version since the price was lower and specs are the same for the 15 set. Durable, multiple handles make them easy to carry, set-up and take down. The pole mount has a set-screw to ensure the speaker doesn't spin once mounted on the stand. 5 |

I replaced my passive Logitech computer speakers with a pair of the Audioengine A2+ speakers and a small 6.5 powered subwoofer. This is a great combination for listening to streaming videos and music in my small office. I use the USB input for the signal from my computer and the RCA outputs to send a signal to the powered subwoofer (Acoustic Audio PSW-6 purchased separately). Shown in the pictures on the Audioengine DS1 stands. The only con is the volume knob is on the back. I would purchase them again. 5 |
