Amazingly powerful for what it is. Very versatile and a lot of no hassle fun to use. Have you ever used a PA that never had any feedback at all ever no matter how you set it up or what you plugged into it ? This one is the first one I've ever used which almost makes it worth the price to begin with and I actually plugged in an acoustic bass which has got to be the ultimate test! No monitors needed! It also has stereo line out so it makes a great monitor if you wanna patch in to a larger system. I've seen people asking questions about the rated power output. The answer is, on batteries it puts out 20 software enhanced watts stereo 10 watts per side-12 volts X 0.8 amps per side.8 AA's. batteries are limited as to how much current they can produce hence the lower power.I definitely recommend NiMh batteries, by the way. Plugged in it puts out 30 watts, 15 per side still at 12 volts which is what the power amps are designed to run on from the output side of the step down transformer or the batteries. Great tone for moderate volume gigs in smaller spaces, superior projection and coverage used this way. Being an electronics tech I used test eqpt. to verify the output power. I also used a decibel meter with various types of music and verified 109 Db from about 15 feet which is pretty darn loud. I didn't test further out so I don't really know how big an area it would cover, obviously not a huge space but okay for an averaged sized room. Bass of course is adequate but not at all intense. I also own an AC-33 and a mobile cube which are also very cool. This is not the kind of PA that's going to have audience members yelling into the ear of the person right next to them to be heard or shake the floors but they will hear you loud and and more importantly clear.

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller. Thanks Logitech for making such a fine product, and never discontinue these great speakers. Thanks

Excellent sound reproduction. At 75 watts per channel it works great with my JBL speakers. Sounds great at low levels. I recommend this unit for it’s traditional function as a wonderful stereo receiver.

You won't be disappointed. These speakers sound great with as little as 50 watts per channel but really shine when you can give them 100+. I have mine powered by an Emo XPA 5 with 200 watts per channel and they sound almost as good as my Dahlquist DQ-10s. Excellent bass for such a small speaker, great imaging and transparency. I have mine sitting on a stone retaining wall and the bass is awesome. The only thing I can fault them on is they sound a little bright but you may be able to eq it out. Not that big of an issue though. The speakers are very accurate so you can definitely hear the difference that hi res audio files make (e.g. 24/96 or 24/192 files). I left mine out in the rain exposed to the elements and they do fill up with water. Just shook it out and they were fine. Probably good to keep them protected or bring them inside during a big storm if you can. They are also solidly built. All metal, no plastic.

Ok. I have had these outside speakers for a year. The 6500 series is great. I crank them out with my 55 watts Sonos Amp unit for a pair. Since the California dude had a bad experience about one of his going bad, I must say they are for outdoors--- but probably they should at least be covered from the major outside elements. If the dude's wasn't exposed to the elements that bad then I would look at the Geek Squad doing the wiring before I'd look at these speakers. In hindsight after reading all the comments maybe the fact that i'm only cranking out the limited 55 watts from the Sonos is making the difference of blowing the outside speakers even though their rated higher to 200 watts at 8 ohms. Trust me even with 55 watts from the Sonos Amp I have make sure i'm polite and not turning it too loud to disturb my neighbors with AC/DC Gone Fishin or Run DMC Walk this Way...LOL. I also have 5 UIW RCS II's in my ceiling of my living room. Unbelievable sound for football parties.

These speakers are AWESOME. For $249.00 (on sale) to $299.00 ... you can't beat them, it's a no-brainer. I push them with a NAD C338, rated at only 50 watts per channel at 8 ohms. These speakers are 6 ohms, so I estimate they will get close to 115 watts IHF Dynamic Power with the NAD's super clean THD rating. I have also filled in the bottom end with a Dayton Audio SUB-1000. It is debatable that these speakers need a sub-woofer, sure it helps, but you won't be disappointed without one. On a budget, I have heard that the Yamaha R-S202 Receiver will push these speakers adequately; however, the power is not as clean & smooth as the NAD. Bottom Line: Probably the BEST value in a bookshelf speaker I have seen in 30+ years - no lie. With good power, you will NOT be disappointed. I'm way 'more' than happy with them : )

I bought the PM 6007 amp 2 weeks ago, this is my first ever Marantz & the best i have ever had, i can't get my head around that this amp only puts out 45 watts @ 8ohms (ALLEGEDLY) it is more powerful than that surely, the sound is nothing short of brilliant, it has no problem firing up my 92 dB 180 watts 8 ohm 3 way speakers, i had no idea my speakers actually sounded this great, i do recommend the PM 6007 amplifier, 5 stars, no, i'd give more if i could
