Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Optical Input

This is a very nice unit for the money - if you are looking for a basic, reliable home amplifier/tuner it's hard to beat. It accepts Bluetooth streaming input (the main reason I bought it) - the sound quality is very good, as long as you have a good set of speakers. Cheap speakers, well, sound like cheap speakers. If you want to really take advantage of this receiver, use a well-made set of Surround speakers The on-screen setup features - via the HDMI cable - and the supplied "User Position" microphone for auto calibration, work very well for balancing the Surround Sound effects. The unit will accept Optical Audio input as well, making it an excellent all-around amp. The only thing missing is a Phono input.

Great sound even without surround sound speakers.

I was aware that this is a 2013 product, but I purchased it anyway because I wanted to connect my speakers (Logitech Z-5500) via an Optical cable, instead of the analog conection that my PC mainboard has. Windows 10 recognizes the card with no trouble, and the Creative driver still works after all these years.

Happy , but just wish could use TV speakers as well for a True surround sound !!

Have two of these for my back speakers, for the ultimate surround sound. The make the sound now so immersive with the arc and sub.

Used it to take TV optical audio output to be able to put it through my surround sound system. Worked very well; excellent quality.
