Logitech Usb Speakers Not Working Mac

My mom uses computer speakers connected to the headphone jack on her Mac Mini. The jack failed (evidently this isn't uncommon). As an inexpensive workaround, I picked up this USB audio adapter, and it worked like a charm. Even plugged into a USB hub, it stays recognized and selected in the Sound System Preferences pane even after rebooting and waking from sleep.

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller. i have four logitech mice and they all (including this model) work flawlessly with windows 7, mac os 10.4, linux mint 18 cinnamon, linux lubuntu 15.04. �they worked first time evertime. �i have one over 12 years old which still works like new.
