Logitech Webcam Camera Settings Mac

I needed a webcam to use for working from home. I was skeptical at first that a small webcam such as this could produce a great image but I purchased anyway. After hooking the camera up and installing the optional Logitech Camera Settings app, I was blown away at the quality and field of view this camera offered. The 1080p resolution is crystal clear, even when zooming in. The zoom and pan options in the Logitech Camera Settings app were a nice touch to allow you to zoom in on yourself or pull focus on something else in view without having to physically move the camera. One thing I was happy to see is that this camera doesn't do that weird zoom/auto-focus thing that many Logitech cameras do where the person goes completely out of focus for a few seconds while it tries to auto-focus. I have a headset that I use for my video conferencing but the camera includes a microphone, should you need one. So far, I have zero complaints on the product. Overall, I would highly recommend this webcam for it's quality and features.

Webcam is terrific; easy to set up; easy to use. You must go to the Logitech site and download the Logitech Camera Settings program to have full functionality. That info isn't mentioned anywhere. You're welcome. B &H a breeze to work with. Love the option to be notified if item is now available. Waited six months with another site, that repeatedly pushed out delivery date. Once I used B & H wait list, had the camera in one week!

This webcam was recommended to me by a friend who teaches on-line courses for retirees and had tested several other cameras. Prior to buying this, I had tried a few other inexpensive cameras which I returned. This camera cost slightly more but was vastly superior than those. The picture quality is excellent and there is no barreling or pincushioning effect. The flip-up lens cover works smoothly unlike the sliding covers of other models I tried. If you have a Windows computer, an excellent software program for the camera can be downloaded from Logitech. There is not equivalent program for the Mac as yet. As a Mac user, I'm hoping Logitech produces one soon.

This is my second C920s webcam. It has great features and a beautiful image. It's basically plug & play right out of the box, with one major exception. I immediately realized that the image is reversed upon plugging the webcam in. Why the default image is reversed kind of blows my mind. There were no directions on how to reverse the image. I went on the Logitech website and searched for a solution. Nada. I searched Google, too. All the solutions were complicated and convoluted. I ended up downloading 2 or 3 programs that didn't solve my problem. Since this is my second C920s, I went back to my first installation of this webcam on my other PC. The image was right on. So, I checked and I have a program called Logitech Capture. I checked its settings, and sure enough, under the Source 1 settings there's an Advanced Settings slider. Sliding that to On opens up another set of settings. One of them is horizontally flip source. Checking that check box flips the image to the proper point of view. Why Logitech would reverse the default image is beyond me. And, why they don't provide instructions on how to flip the image is crazy. Anyway, just downloading this simple (free) program from the Logitech website solves the issue. All is well. I'm very happy with the webcam now.

After receiving this: Logitech BRIO Ultra HD Pro Webcam downloading the software for it. It was very easy to set up and use and all the settings stayed, so when you Zoom or Skype the settings remained and did not have to change a thing. Wonderful product!

Logitech was doing a terrible job of supporting the Mac. It seems they have changed their ways. I don’t need 4k for what I do. These Brio 500’s are all I need. 1080p/30 is great for web production and streaming (Zoom etc.) The LogiTune Mac app (accessed from the menu bar) allows you to independently customize the zoom range for wide, medium, and closeup shots. You can also change all the image balance adjustments. I’m currently using two of these webcams (rose & black) with OBS. The webcam color is identified in the Logitech app, so I know which cam I’m adjusting. Mostly, I only need to change gain and exposure to get a great picture. Of course, with any webcam with a small sensor, good lighting is a must. I use a budget setup with two Chinese globe lanterns in front (soft light LED bulb) combined with a hair light for 3 point lighting. These are a very affordable option for HD production, Zoom streaming, or other web-based production needs. I’m very happy with them. They are better than the old iPhone 5 I used previously as a webcam.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Mac Studio and a PC laptop, so I knew I needed a webcam that was compatible with both and also uses USB-C to connect. I scoured the internet for side-by-side reviews of webcams in my price range, and the Brio 500 won out for all the things I needed. The software is nice, especially since I can change the settings depending on the use and lighting. I haven't had a chance to test the audio settings because I use an external mic. All in all, this is a nice webcam that also looks nice!

Logitech has a very standard useful webcam with the C920 lineup.

This camera is exactly what it is promised to be ... an excellent quality webcam. I am using it in conjunction with other cameras (from Logitech and Wyze) with OBS Studio to produce multi-camera online demonstrations. Video quality is superb and the auto-focus produces sharp, clear images. Compares favorably with my Logitech C920 at a very reasonable price.
