Logitech Z 506 5.1 Surround Speakers Subwoofer System

I guess you could describe me as an audiophile. My current system cost me about 25 KBUCKS and includes Audio Research pre-amp and amp, Mirage speakers (8 speakers in each tower), an 18 inch subwoofer, etc., etc. Two things made me ready for a change: 1) I am ready to simplify and unclutter and 2) My ears ain't what they used to be. Through lots of research and recommendations by the audio store that sold me my current setup some years ago, I landed on Sonos. I am awaiting a 5.1 home theatre setup, but could not resist buying a Sonos 5 while waiting. It came a couple of hours ago, and I am enjoying the hell out of it. Quick, intuitive setup, great sound and wireless! I love it. Understand that my listening area is a challenge. A voluminous room with 30 foot wooden ceilings. This beauty fills up the room with wonderful sound. As I type this, I am sitting in my home office which is a considerable distance from the speaker and it is clear and concise even through the walls and distance (of course I will now have to get a Play or Play one for in here!). I was amazed at the bass response. I had to immediately play Olympic fanfare which is a knockout piece on my reference setup. Wonderful! With singing, the voices are clear and the highs are crisp and clean. Unfortunately, I can see another one of these in my immediate future to setup a stereo system. I can't wait to see how it sounds when the subwoofer arrives with the 5.1 system. Sonos, you guys rock!!

I was a little doubtful about purchasing these speakers because I was use to the 5.1 surround sound system, but I'm glad I did. They have the perfect sound, even better than the 5.1 and the control pod makes these speakers even better. I would definitely recommend this product.

I am using these as replacement speakers for my PC Z906 5.1 surround system, specifically for music from my turntable which is attached to my subwoofer/amplifier. I'm using another brand for my center speaker.

I will be honest I truly have no idea how this surround sound is supposed to sound to me. This is my first surround sound system I have ever owned and so I have nothing to compare it to. I do have to say I dont know how I feel about the center channel out cable that makes the voices come out of the tv speakers so it sounds more directly in front of me. I kind of feel like that ruins the experience just a tad bit because I am connecting a low grade speaker to a top grade system and almost drowns out the quality of sound coming from the two front surround sound speakers mounted on the wall. But I will play around with it and see what I like better. As far as the subwoofer goes it is great truly is immersive vibration but if there was a way to connect a 1000W RMS or higher subwoofer (something comparable like a nightshade v5 2500W sundown audio subwoofer for a car) to this system I would highly recommend adding a new subwoofer to the Sony line up that is twice as powerful as this one or give me the ability to add a second subwoofer to the system. I can say I have never sat in my living room and watched an action movie and heard bullets zing past my head before. But with this surround sound that is exactly how it sounds and I can say with all honesty it is really an amazing and cool experience to have as my first one. Hope this helps with future bug fixes and tech updates. Please let me know if you add a new more powerful subwoofer or make it so I can add a second one to the system. Thank you!

I was looking for a simple surround sound system for my bedroom. As an audiophile, having quality, yet clear and crisp sound is important for my quality of life. I have a full audio system in my SUV and also in my main living room with 7.2 surround sound JBL speakers. I know Roku has quality and long-standing positive reviews and products. I have used Roku products for well over a decade and wanted to take a chance at purchasing these speakers. I also purchased the wireless subwoofer to go along with my Roku Premium Sound Bar and wireless speakers. I was a bit concerned that the blue tooth connection may be intermittent, but with having these speakers and subwoofer for well over a few months, I have not had one single issue with connection. The sound is crisp, clear, and has the perfect amount of bass and treble. There are some minimal customizations that are optional to the user, which I chose to keep my speakers on the Music option so that more sound comes out of the back speakers (closer to my bed). I also have the subwoofer closer to my side of the bed since bass is what I love the most. The surround sound is absolutely amazing when watching 4K movies. You truly feel like you are in a racing booth when watching such movies (Fast and the Furious movies are a great example). Overall, I am extremely impressed with this whole system!
