Logitech Z906 Multimedia 5.1 Wired Speakers

I bought the Z906 to replace my aging Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 system with a failing amp. I loved the Klipsch speakers, but sadly Klipsch (and seemingly everyone else other than Logitech) has stopped making 5.1 multimedia systems. Thankfully Logitech makes a pretty good unit. The real draw to something like this, in my opinion, is if you want a relatively compact, reasonably-priced, good-sounding setup that you can easily plug a computer into. I've used this sort of setup in my living room with great results, and at a fraction of the cost of buying separate components. Since my computer has pretty solid sound-processing capability, I don't have the need for all the extra features of a stand-alone receiver. The Logitech Z906 packs quite a punch and sounds almost as good as the Klipsch in most situations. Pluses for the Z906 are it's built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoding (for things like an XBox) and its included remote control. True, it doesn't handle the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD soundtracks on Blu-Ray discs, but my computer does, and so the analog pass-through from the PC into the Z906 makes this unnecessary in my case anyway. The Z906 seems solidly built, and is easy to install with its standard speaker mount points and spring-lock speaker wire connectors. One very minor quibble is that the power cable is permanently attached to the sub (the Klipsch used a detachable C14 computer-style plug). Overall, I'm very happy with the Z906. 5 |

I am using these as replacement speakers for my PC Z906 5.1 surround system, specifically for music from my turntable which is attached to my subwoofer/amplifier. I'm using another brand for my center speaker. 5 |

I own a video production company and have 28 employees. I have six editors that use Mac Pro's, all the Mac's use fiber optic from the Mac sound card to a windows PC running Creative X-Fi Elite Pro THX Certified sound cards. All the editing bays have this setup and use Creative GigaWorks S750, 7.1, THX Certified, 750 watt speaker systems. The Logitech Z906, 5.1, THX Certified, 500 watt speaker system is replacing one of the Creative S750 speaker systems that was 12 years old. Logitech appears to be the only company that offers a high wattage, 5.1, THX Certified Speaker System, no one that I can find carries a 7.1, THX Certified, high wattage sound system. The sound quality of the Logitech Z906, 5.1, THX Certified, 500 watt speaker system is outstanding. The signal-to-noise level is perfect for clean audio sound. We use Final Cut Pro 10 and Avid Media Composer 7 editing software and even when we add LFE (Low Frequency Effects) we get no distortion, the speakers are small enough to not waste a lot of space on the editing board. For the user/pro that wants a quality sound system and has the sound card that will facilitate the Z906 speaker system then the Logitech Z906 is the sound you are looking for. 5 |

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller. Thanks Logitech for making such a fine product, and never discontinue these great speakers. Thanks 5 |

Atmos enabled multimedia speakers sound great in any room. I use them as a stereo pair mainly for music but these also sound great when used for movies and TV. 5 |

I have the Logitech G603 wireless mouse and its good but tended to lose connection with my computer too often. I bought the G403 wired mouse and like it much better. Very smooth, responsive and never loses connection. Better overall than the G603. I also like the mouse cable, which is braided and extra long. Consider this wired mouse if you're tired of dealing with dongles and losing connection. 5 |

After having a multitude of issues with buggy KVM software and other solutions (I'm looking at you Synergy), I decided to bite the bullet and get this keyboard and the M70 Logitech Mouse to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to setup and how quickly I was able to control both my Mac and my PC by seamless ctrl+dragging the mouse in the direction I had setup the switch from systems to happen. In a half a second I am on my Mac doing what I need to do and in another on my Windows system. Very much recommended to anyone looking to do something like that, it can do up to 3 computers!. The keys feel amazingly good and I say that as someone who types 9+ hours a day and its coming from a wired mechanical keyboard, the back-lit keys are not going to be wired quality light but get the job done for dim environment. Props to Logitech for USB Type C charging (its 2020, get the memo every other company) and the Logitech options software offers deep customizing of absolutely everything. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid keyboard with some extras like Logitech Flow. 5 |

I was in the market for a wired mouse, in order to attain low ms, and this mouse stood out as one of the best. I solely purchase Logitech mouses, because I trust their quality. While I was interested in the Razer DeathAdder mouse, I was turned away by the required registration for the mouse to work; meanwhile the G403 works well and can benefit from simple drivers. This mouse feels comfortable, and does not become greasy. I even appreciate the minimal buttons on the side. 5 |
