Long Range Wifi Extender For Starlink
Outdoorhuntress | 2024-07-12 08:18:33 |
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently installed Starlink and needed to expand my Wifi range. I choose the XR5400 after reading reviews. I have to say, I am not disappointed. I was able to do the setup through my IPhone and it was easy. I really like the Netgear App so I can monitor the Router from afar. 5 |

The Netgear WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX6250 was very easy to install and it did exactly what I needed it to do; extend the coverage of my Spectrum Router. 5 |

This extender does a great job of extending and boosting my wifi signal. I was surprised how wide its range is. I am very pleased with this purchase--great performance, great value. 5 |

The extender setup was a breeze. It connected easily to my home network. It has extended the range of the WiFi significantly to the other end of the house. This sure beats the cheap knock-off I bought, which never was able to connect properly. 5 |

BEST RANGE EXTENDER I HAVE TRIED! 5 |

I bought the 2.0 Version III extender to add utility to my 500mm f/4 L. I wasn’t interested in doubling my 70-200mm as I already have a 100-400mm. My interests were: doubling the focal length of the 500mm f/4 for use on a 7D Mark 2 body to get maximum reach for long range shots, and on a 5D Mark 3 body to get high magnification at shorter range but with better signal-to-noise. I was prepared to be disappointed. I was not. I was aware that I would be limited in autofocus to essentially 1 point in either case, but that is fine for stationary subjects. So, I offer two images. One of a female (Hen) Common Merganser taken with the 500 x 2.0 on the 7DM2 at a range of 55 Yards. The other (tightly cropped) of a Brown Capped Rosy Finch taken with the 500 x 2.0 on the 5DM3 at a range of 10 Yards. You be the judge. 5 stars from me. Note, in the Merganser photo, the vivid color and image contrast, and that with the light passing through 26 optical elements! Now I recognize that the Merganser photo was shot over water, in very stable atmosphere. The Rosy was shot at close range, where atmosphere would not be a problem anyhow. Unstable atmosphere is a problem with super-telephotos at long range, whether or not they have extenders on them. A note to those contemplating this or a 1.4 Canon Extender, please read the user’s manual for your camera body first. It will tell you whether, and how the extender will work with your lenses. Then you won’t need to give the extender negative reviews because it “didn’t work”. 5 |

Got this as a replacement for Starlink Gen2 router. In the same location this outperforms the Sarlink router in speed and range. It also has very advanced routing features and network traffic diagnostics I had been missing out on. Although not as plug and play as some units out there, it's nothing that can't be figured out with a little googling. A+++ 5 |
