It gives you the nice, clean feeling of a mechanical keyboard, but it's silent!!

The ROG Claymore II is the best mechanical keyboard I've ever used. The responsiveness is incredible!

Thus far I've used this keyboard for just one day, so I have no info re: reliability or longevity. KB505U: I cannot find any ID info other than the model#, but it has the Utility keys to the right labeled CORRECTLY instead of the awful way you see online i.e. PAGE DOWN is no longer written: Pu, etc. Unit feels sturdy and the keys are quiet; and register properly when pressed. Between the Right Windows and Control keys is a button I was unfamiliar with: it opens the Context menu. I guess indeed that is the proper symbol. LED back-lighting is not overbearing at all, and does the job well. And the view angle is not restricted. The key arrangement is Standard, and the Function keys (F1-F12) aren't re-defined or shared. I very much like the way they now label the keys altogether. Footprint is fine; not oversized. Specs, of course, are online. Keypad 1 - 9 don't have additional labels (Home, End, etc.). The top utility keys include Volume, Mute and Calculator; my personal favorites. I believe that the Design and Presentation decisions they made were absolutely the correct ones (re: my opinion and keyboard desires). I'll correspond again in a few weeks. So far, I really like this keyboard.

I've been wanting to move towards a mechanical keyboard feel. Glad that MX is offering an option now. So far, I've really enjoyed the typing experience, though it is taking some getting used to since I've been on scissor switches for quite a while. I don't love how they switched to a new dongle system with this one so I can't use the MX master 3 mouse with the same dongle anymore - I know they did that to force another upgrade. Other complaint is that their software seems to have regressed in the new mechanical keyboards. example - the calculator quick key still works but it doesn't bring it to the front anymore. Why would that be different from their previous keyboards? weird. Overall, I'm enjoying the keyboard, though.

This basic keyboard is well worth its price. I have other mechanical keyboards that I use, but I can't say those give as much value as this simple keyboard. 100% recommended.
