I use this for an on camera shotgun mic and its the perfect length. Depending on what you are using you may want the elbow style to keep the cable from looping out a lot from the camera but otherwise just right. 5 |

I needed a high quality microphone for a surveillance installation, to record speech. I looked into this Crown unit because I have been very happy with other phantom-powered PZM microphones they offer. This one is great for voice band, it has line level output so no need for extra microphone preamplification, and it can be phantom powered. Even 12 V power from a camera system will work nicely. AC or DC does not matter for this unit, neither does power polarity due to the built in rectification stage. One less mistake to make. Great mike. 5 |
