Lorex Security Cameras Wireless Setup Internet

I decided to upgrade to Lorex video doorbell for a few different reasons. First reason was I was using a video doorbell from my security alarm system. It always disconnected from the internet when you tried to playback video or talk through it. They always blamed my internet. The Lorex camera has a strong internet connection and only takes about 8 seconds to load even when I’m away from home. My second reason to upgrade to Lorex is I have 8 wired cameras that work great. It’s very convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only needing one app. Have 4K video is also a bonus. If you’re looking for a video doorbell go and a purchase, you won’t be disappointed. For several reasons, I opted to upgrade to a Lorex video doorbell. Firstly, my previous video doorbell, integrated into my security alarm system, consistently disconnected from the internet when attempting to playback video or engage in voice communication. The manufacturer consistently attributed these issues to my internet connection. In contrast, the Lorex camera boasts a robust internet connection and only requires approximately 8 seconds to load, even when I am away from home. Secondly, I have eight wired cameras that perform exceptionally well. It is highly convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only require a single application. Additionally, the 4K video resolution is a significant advantage. If you are seeking a video doorbell, I highly recommend making a purchase, as you will not be disappointed. 5 |

Easy to SetUp,Potentially Portable,No Monthly Cost The Lorex Home Center with two Wifi cameras has to be the easiest security system that I have ever setup. The system consists of two 1080p wifi cameras and a base station with a touch screen that displays the video from the cameras. All you have to do is download the app, plug in the base station, and plug in the cameras. The app is then used to setup the cameras wirelessly. Because the cameras and base station are plugged in and not hard wired, the base station can be moved from room to room or the system can potentially be used at another location. The wifi cameras are designed for outdoor use; however, I setup one outdoors on my back porch and the other inside looking out through my front window. Video from the back porch camera was very clear and video through the front window was as clear as possible considering that there will be reflection from the window. The base station also includes voice control so that if you wanted to see what is happening in your backyard you would say something like "Lorex, show me backyard." In summary, if you are looking for an easy to setup security system that can potentially be used at several locations and with no monthly cost, I would recommend considering the Lorex Home Center. 5 |

Best product I've reviewed This security camera has exceeded my expectations in all areas of both ease of use and performance. We live in a very rural setting with poor internet. We put the Lorex camera in my husband's shop, which is all metal and about 40 yards away from the house where the Wi-Fi modem is. Out of the box (which was nicely packaged), the camera was extremely easy to install and comes with a variety of ways to mount it. It pivots easily on its base - we just stand it on a windowsill in the shop. The printed directions that came in the box were clear and concise - easy to follow. The software (Lorex Home) was extremely easy to use, with step by step instructions for finding the device and setting it up. Once set up (which took about 5 minutes), we put it in the shop and I went back to the house, not really expecting a connection. To our surprise, not only did it work, but the picture quality (1080p-HD) was amazing. The wide angle lens lets us see most of the shop which is 60'x100'. Sometimes, depending on the conditions, I'm not able to use the Live view which is not the fault of the system but rather our sketchy internet, yet even then it does record any movement or loud sounds. A bonus is that I can use the microphone to tell him when dinner's ready without having to walk out there. That would be my only negative comment is that I wish I could increase the Microphone volume so he could hear it over his loud music. I was even able to talk over the microphone when I was 25 miles away (through extreme hills and valleys). We had a recorded event at 4:14 a.m. and when we looked (I had turned off notifications) it was a bug walking across the camera lens. The night vision quality was very impressive since the shop was completely dark at that time. Overall, the entire system is very well made and well thought out. We have an Arlo security system for outside and this system exceeds that in many ways - very impressive for the price point. 5 |

I like the Lorex systems for self control of my security. Battery powered wireless systems are easy to install and maintain. Not tied to a paid service. Thumbs up. 5 |

Had the Ring Pro doorbell and recently switched to the Lorex to incorporate with my security cameras, and I am amazed at how much clearer the picture and sound quality is. I’m very pleased with the results of the upgrade. 5 |

I have a total of 5 cameras on this system up and running on the Lorex Smart Home Security Center . It is "basically " straight forward to get them running..... but not easy. you need to have passwords for each and identifying "names' of each. It is best to have all this info in a note on your phone so you can copy and paste it later in all the needed locations rather than figure out each one in real time 5 |

These cameras are very clear and have a wide peripheral view. The thing I like the most about Lorex security cameras is that they have made their products user friendly. This system is easy to install and the support team has been very helpful. 5 |

We purchased this to run Internet from our house to our barn then to a p o e switch and then to for security cameras more than 400 feet away. Set up was simple following an internet video and it works flawlessly. All 4 the cameras are HD and the signal with a 550 megahertz is plenty. Huge shout out to b and h for answering all my questions. 5 |
