Lps 53 School Supply List

This thing is awesome! Does everything I need it to do. One thing to be aware of - it DOES come with a power supply, even though it's not listed in the What's In The Box list.

I didn't know what these were for when I bought it, I just bought what was on my class supply list. I think it was a little pricy, but it works great and I do like having different colored sides.

An added cleaning device to keep my lps playing smoothly!

Put in an ASUS 53 mini and it is working great!

I purchased this product so I could enjoy playing my LPs on a turntable. The music sounds pure as it is paired with Edifier speakers. With the ability to stream via Bluetooth, I can stream from my iPhone, iPod and iPad. I need not suffer listening to my music through the device’s speaker. I have powerful room filling music passing through my Sony DTR-DH190 receiver. Also, there are 4 additional inputs not including the phono input for a total of 5. The phono input has an all important ground connection. Two pairs of speakers can be connected, if you choose.

My Technics turntable failed and I needed to convert some LPs to CDs. This turntable has done an excellent job. The sound quality is very good for this application. My only regret is not buying the model with digital output.

I listened to CD music for decades on what I thought were good players, but buying this transport and plugging it into my DAC has changed my view completely. CDs (before the advent of digital music files) were always a nice portable medium with good sound quality. It was nice to get rid of the handling and storage issues of LPs, but deep down, LPs still sounded better. Now, with the Audiolab transport, I can enjoy listening to CD music as much as I have ever enjoyed listening to LPs. All of the music is there! It was getting lost in the 0s and 1s, somewhere, but this transport has magically found them. I will never look back, and never think of CD music the same. This is a quality piece of equipment available at a price comparable to much inferior equipment. Buy it!

This mono cartridge is a dream brought to reality for those of us old enough to have large collections of mono LPs, 45s and 78s. Using the cartridge as-is with the included VMN10CB stylus, mono LPs and 45s track perfectly and sound cleaner than they ever did when played using any stereo cartridge and stylus, no matter what the stylus configuration was. I have the feeling that the stylus is tracing portions of the groove wall that were never touched by narrower stereo styli. When I switch in the VMN70SP stylus, I hear everything possible in 78 rpm grooves that in some cases are more than 85 years old; again, it's as if previously untouched sections of the groove walls are being traced for the first time in the lives of the old shellac records. As a bonus, I've also discovered that I can switch the stylus to an older ATE100E eliptical stylus and play "electronically rechanneled for stereo" LPs issued in the 60s and early 70s to make mono recordings sound like stereo, even though the results were generally muddy and dismal; this cartridge restores the mono sound of the original pre-stereo era recording, greatly improving the sound. For older, non-stereo records, this cartridge is a must as far as I'm concerned. Once again, I need to say "Thank you" to Audio-Technica.
